Good game of cricket today. Magnificent innings by Watson, yes he probably was a bit lucky here and there but that's ODI cricket, you have to take your chances as you don't have the time at the crease.

Next month is going to be interesting chaps isn't it?

Well Aussie is up 3-1 so far in the ODIs and from now on England can't afford anything but wins.

Vital match at the Gabba today. England's got some injury issues but you have to think that they'll be more concerned with the WC next month.

Any idea where I can pick up the feeds (whether video or audio) for the WC? The Oranje start their first match in 1 week against Canada. ESPN360 is only playing the Caribbean 20 in February.

Thanks gents!

My money is on SA or India to take it.

Well I'd hedged my bets :D

And I was really happy with how we Kiwis went. Was nice to boot SA out in the quarters. And the semi with Sri Lanka could have gone either way.

How many of the Brits are watching the County Championship and even better, going to the odd game?

I always keep an eye on the scores.

Hold tight to that smugness. The ICC is going to wrench it out of your hands.

Looks like they're backing down and having a 12 team WC, which will be qualified for!

Smithy, the Kiwis were unlucky against Sri Lanka, but they had a magnificent cup run. It really could have been them in the final. Congratulations/commiserations.

I was rather delighted early on by a particular Ireland score, can anyone guess which?

Ah yes, that was a remarkable result and great for Irish cricket. And to top it all off they beat them 24-8 in the rugby!

Damn it, would've liked to have seen that.

On another note and one always keenly looked forward to myself, the latest 2011 Wisden has just been released and it includes the recent Ashes. As always, a must have.

Posted a response in your baggy thread Fly Boy.

When's your club starting games?

Cheers Smithy! We're already three games into our season - Alas, I turned up for the first of them in my old club jumper (it was bleedin' cold) and got a few raised eyebrows - Maroon and Forest Green stands out a fair bit when the rest of the team are wearing Navy and Royal Blue! Could have been worse, I suppose it could have been for a rival club - Rather than one five hundred or so miles away!

Stand the boys a pint afterwards and I'm sure they'll turn a blind eye to your jumper!

All the best with the season and keep us up to date with how your XI goes.

Bit jealous myself, I've been seriously considering going back to play but with a baby on the way I'm not too sure how I'll be placed even for next season.
