That's a slick looking Western. I actually like the matching hat band that's on it.

I don’t mind the matching band, but the silver “buckle” isn’t to my liking.

I usually wear this silver Navajo band with a different hat. It is great on that one - a 7 1/8 Stetson 7XCB western with the same skinny ribbon. But the weight of the silver makes it a heavy wear and accentuates the fit of the hat, which is a little large for me. So giving it a ride on this pre-war nutria today.

Not really. This hat has seen some wear, and I always think of it as a "working man's" hat. For some reason, it seems like the original owner of this hat would use a wrench in his everyday life.

Not to take away the quality of the hat, by any means. But I do think of it as an everyday hat.

Thanks, Jim. These Dalton hats are rare beasts and you seem to have more or less cornered the market for them. Once a working man's hat and now a rich possession, even if it's just the history.

The look of that felt makes me want to touch the screen!

Trust me. It's considerable softer than a screen.
It is about the most unique felt I have. The hand is like velvet or an extremely short velour, while the felt itself has a spring to it that I have only found a similarity to in my Stetson Vita Felt. An oddity for sure.
