Nice collection. I feel my blood turning green again.

Great hat. Does it have the blue blush that shows in some of your photos?

Thanks, Michael. With that Borsalino LEO you're wearing the feeling is mutual.

Excellent hats all around this week everybody. Sorry I haven't been around much. Here are my hats after the weather allowed for felt again.

When you check in on the FL Stefan, you sure check in in style. An envious weeks worth of hats there my friend.

My only 7X CB Stetson. I got it cheap because of some moth damage and the SB was in poor shape. Thanks to @Rockwater I corrected most of the moth damage with a needle. I replaced the SB so the collector value is diminished, but I don't care. I hope I can find another sometime.

The light, the lids, the love!! Your painting with light of late is lovely, Michael.

Your chair is similar to a “birthing chair” my folks brought back from Spain in the late 1970s. We’ve never tried it.

In 1981 I was in high school. My band director knew Benny Goodman. He came and played a concert with the high school jazz band I was a member of. An evening I will never forget!
What did you play, Bill? I was a bari sax and clarinet man. Got to play with Mel Torme, Lew Tabackin, and Frank Rosolino in high school. Jazz educator conventions in Wichita and Chicago, and the Seattle opera house a couple times.

I finally finished this black Borsalino refurb. This one started out as a size 7 that I stripped down and reblocked to a 7 1/4 to fit me. I replaced the original mid ribbon and went with a matching black 3/8 thin ribbon. I have more in the Conversion Corral...

That is sweet, Terry. I won't ask any questions until I go to the coral.
Well, yes I will ;-)!
Was the Borsa welted before? I've ripped, then ironed one welt out. Ermatinger's book made me think I could develop the skills of a hatter. Apparently welted hats hadn't taken off in 1910. He never mentions them. They have go bye-bye for any full reblock, don't they?
