Checking into Corvallis Hospital this morning for my much needed back surgery. I should be home by lunchtime. The procedure is kind of a "rotor-rooter" of my pinched nerves that have had me in absolute pain roughly since February. Looking forward to having my life back again. Wearing my trusty, late 1950s Stetson Royale Deluxe. Super light weight fedora. View attachment 180336 View attachment 180337

Very best wishes for a quick and complete recovery, sir!

My palm straws that were not getting out much started molding. So far, the hemp isn’t turning green. However, I did find a caterpillar munching my hemp OR.
It has been quite hot and humid without the usual trade winds. So I gotta jump in the ocean.

Have a nice day!
That's nice, and the white pugaree is a great look against the blond straw.

Received my new Fino Fino Optimo from PanamaHatsDirect today. Perfect for pretty much every day of the year in Savannah GA. The weave is extraordinary and the block is excellent. Hats off, so to speak to PanamaHatsDirect who are making excellent hats, at a reasonable price and with DHL delivery. Any previous concerns seem to have been worked through.

The hairy ones have feelings too.

I'm with you on that. I hated to see a tiny Champ long hair languishing with no bids (and shipping under $7). I knew it would never fit, but my grandson will be in it sometime soon.
The felt has a fantastic swirl in the top of the crown from whatever passes for pouncing on hairy hats!

The second shot captures it a little, but to the naked eye it's much more visible.
And I believe the alternative to pouncing is scratching on this one.
