This is an old Cavavagh that I really like. As deadly(Brent)handsome prophesied, most rookies gradually go to wider brims and taller crowns, I'm going there.
I'm still really liking the telescoping pork pie crown. This one has a crown at the front at about 4 1/4" and the brim just a little bit over 2"
Very sweet offset ribbon treatment too.

Thank you H&R. It’s a treat to find an old Stetson with that good old leather. The bulletproof NO.1s and BREs come to mind as well.
Sweatband mourning is all to common here. We all suffer with you!
Guess you’re gonna have to cut another strip from that couch. Bad Bowen!!

Wrong color.
I have an eye on a sofa at my dentist's office.

Let me help you out. I started a list of acronyms.

· BGCD = Bluegrass Campdraft
· BGGCD = Bluegrass Green Campdraft
· CB = Clear Beaver (Stetson)
· CBCD = Cedar Brown Camp Draft
· CBOR = Clear Beaver Open Road
· CRM = Cane Rod Maker = Alley Kat Hats = Tim Mahovich
· LD = Last Drop (Stetson Last Drop of Water)
· MC = Montecristi
· NOS = New Old Stock
· OR = Open Road
· PHD = Panama Hats Direct
· SBCD = Silverbelly Campdraft
· SCB = Stetson Clear Beaver
· SLS = Stephen L. Stetson
· TFCD = Taupe Fawn Campdraft
You forgot BH, or Black Hole, that city down in Mexico, aka Mexico City, where all nice vintage hats drop into a vortex at Max's house. Hehehe

Is there not enough demand to reverse engineer a classic conformator, then build it with modern tooling, materials and techniques?.
The patent expired a long time ago.
As a relatively new member of the hat community, this confuses me.

I believe there is someone on Etsy offering newly built ones. Those are more expensive than the real thing!

This is a nice hat Rick. It reminds me of a Playboy or Bantam. It’s a great look for you and an outstanding color!

Ooooh, gorgeous H&R!
Thank you.
It's like Eric and I went on a blind double date
He got the blonde, and I got the brunette.
The brunette was wearing sexier garters.
If I hadn't got a peek at her thigh, I could have easily proposed to the blonde and raised a family with her.

This featherweight has a ribbon to die for.

However, wasn't trying to upstage Minnesota Eric.
Everyone knows that gentlemen prefer blondes.

Why was I peeking up her skirt anyway?

Cad!

There's a guy there producing a lot of sweet hatter tools. They're modern jewels. A working hatter can do fine with a Ford, though. He/she doesn't really need a Ferrari.
Maybe that's my niche. I don't know. I don't understand why someone didn't already fill it.
