If anyone happens to recognize the store labeling, any help is appreciated.

Looks great Greg. Let me know if it needs to be sent back home. ;)

Both Borsalinos look good on you, Stefan. The Mirtillo is my favourite, but I'm biased [emoji4].
Thanks to you for keeping us informed about Mike. It's good to see him back for a while and on the mend.

Thanks, Steve. I'd hate to choose between a mirtillo and a heather; maybe a mirtillo heather would be ideal.:)
Mike has been a gentleman and a true friend, so it was a bit overdue that I asked him how he was doing.

Thanks, Ken. I'm lucky to have Amsterdam more or less on my doorstep. Somehow I imagine though that your thrift and goodwill stores have all these American made vintage hats waiting to be found. Wishful thinking perhaps?
If you hold wish in one hand .....

Forget that.

Here in Colorado, I'm thinking, they have always worn more hats in Texas. Ken sure has it good! My life is so crazy hard.
Then I trip over one of my hats because I don't have a place for all of them.

Stopped at my favorite vintage store to shop the newly displayed fall and winter collection. And all I can say is bring on the mountains.

And a 70s era jacket in between.

Have a great day,

Not everybody can pull off that look, Michael. But you have it down like nobody's business.

Sheesh, John. If it weren't for these, I couldn't practice any more.
The new ones are A LOT more expensive. The ones with light work better, but you could just use a couple of powerful desk lamps. There are many models on eBay.
Mine are Orascoptic, the ones whose link are at the bottom of this post

Do you wear them at home, with Anna, too?
It might just scare that cat away.

How do you gentlemen keep track of these hat nuances?
I rarely find a reorder tag in those that I buy.

I pride myself that I can spot a good hat from 30 yards away and sometimes even from blurry auction pics.;)
For the Kingson hat (see new hats thread) it was the ribbon that gave it away: you just don't find that ribbed ribbon on cheapo hats. The vendor had two, so it was easy to spot the blue one. In retrospect I should have bought the black one also.

Very wishful thinking Stefan. 99% junk. The few of any decent quality are typically placed for auction online. I've been in dozens of goodwill type shops with no success. There are some specialty thrift shops locally but good hats are rare. At least locally here by me.
