Hats are one thing, Terry. They're our passion. Loved ones and friends near and far are another.

My best wishes to your wife. I hope the treatment works despite the discomfort.

How's the back doing?
Thank you buddy. We're hoping the best for her. She's been battling some health issues lately. Hopefully a lot of that stuff gets taken care of sooner than later. She's been through a lot over the past few months.

I've got an order for yet another MRI again on my back. I've already had one last Spring. But, we'll get through it all. It's just temporary.

Thank you. buddy! It's hard to beat a good Resistol. When it comes to doing conversions or reworking Westerns I think Resistols and Bradfords are my favorites to work with. When it comes to the earlier Stetsons, though, I really like those.

The wife is having some issues with her eyes that required some laser surgery last week. She has to back again next week for a follow up and possibly some more laser surgery to keep her retina from detaching. I know she's not looking forward to it. She said the laser surgery on her eye was pretty uncomfortable and painful. Thanks for asking buddy. I appreciate that.
I hope the best for your wife, T.
Nice looking Resistol conversion today. Do you ever sell any of your conversions, or do you only do it for your own hats. I was wondering, because it seems that if you did, they would do very well on eBay, or somewhere like it. I do it for my own hats and usually wouldn’t sell them, but I had to sell the one with the Pocket Square bow this week on eBay because the hat didn’t fit my head. I also sold a black Resistol conversion, only because I have too many black fedoras.

Modern Borsalino with fancy brim stitching. Cold (for me anyway, 53') and overcast today.
OH and I was able to get that ugly water stain off the band, came out pretty easy.

I still love that Fifteen, Tim. Just wish it had been my size! Maybe I'll find another one someday! It looks great on you, my friend.

Stetson Fifteen 3X for the rainy morning. Compliments of Randy @Rmccamey !

Only back in the New Hats thread when I first got it from Randy.
I need to post all of my 3X's in the 3X thread, but I'm a little behind.

Here's some inside pics though:

Randall, let us guys on the FL have the first shot before E-bay folks. I'd love one of your conversions with your inventive ribbon twists.

I hope the best for your wife, T.

Our wives, girlfriends, and daughters are living proof that we need more women members on the FL.
On the other hand, we wouldn't look as good

I have offered to take my wife into NYC to go hat shopping for her and she can pick out whatever she wants but she's perfectly happy with this multi-colored wool thing that looks like something you'd use to scour pots and pans. Go figure.

Thanks for the shot of confidence, Steve.
Honestly, I wouldn’t have thought, for second, that anyone on the FL would be interested in a modern western conversion of mine.
Now, I’d consider buying one of T. Jone’s if he started with a quality, vintage soft hat body. That dude’s good!
I’m still in the learning stage, but thankfully, a quick study, and I got a few good tips from Mr. Jones this week.
Can’t wait to post my Wormser’s new vintage hand sewn and home dyed binding tomorrow.
It’s not finished, but it’s going real good...so far.
