Got this Wormser done late last night. Hand sewn and dyed silver binding. It was too silver, so I used Rit dye to gray it up some. Had to do some repair whip stitching on the 75 year old sweat. My new favored fedora.

Wow, just outstanding Randall !! Great stitching and the color is perfect. I’ll have to get with you for some more info on dyeing ribbon.

I’d do the hat too, but they don’t sell Maysers that nice down to the local general mercantile.

I have to go to the post office and ship off eight hats that sold on the Bay last night. And Steve you’re in luck. The black Resistol conversion didn’t sell, so if you was serious you can go make a bid on it. And you know it’ll fit cause we’re the same size.
The bid starts at the low, low, low price of $70. What a bargain!

Yup. It definitely came out nice. I can see why it's a favorite.

Thanks, everyone. It was a lot of work. I wasn’t able to implement the lock stitching method, Terry. I tried, and it started out great, but along the way I messed up and couldn’t get it going again. Frustrated, I finally went back to the harder, but simple minded way.
