Really nice Dobbs, Randy. 2” ribbon suits you well, my friend.
My widest is 2 1/4 on a Dobbs, as well. It’s the one I posted just the other day with the bronze binding.
By the way, I was able to subdue the hand stitching on it using a method that would probably raise eyebrows, but it worked great.
A pencil! The thread I used was too light, so I used the lead of the pencil to darken it a bit. Turned out really nice! Now I won’t be embarrassed to wear it anywhere. Ha! It also helped to magically erase the the previously easy view of crooked stitching on that one. :)
Check it out! Been wearing it a lot lately.

Nice Pilgrim, pilgrim.
Looks like you’re only one letter away from owning your own motorcycle shop. Can’t beat that!
I bought myself my first Pilgrim last week. A 50s/60s wide brim straw. Looks great, but I have to switch out the ugly ribbon for a more pleasing one. I’ll post pics soon. Can’t not buy a nice vintage hat if it’s less than thirty bucks. Plus, I sold my only other straw, so didn’t own any and summer’s a comin’!

LOL, yeah I guess I should have had that sign made with my pseudonym 'Hagwood' instead of my real name......

Looking forward to seeing that Pilgrim Straw, I gotta start collecting some myself with the hot TX summer around the corner.

I like the wide binding on that Dobbs. The homburg is a class act, too!

Been thinking the same way myself.. last two summers. I really only had one nice dressier (to me) straw to wear out to dinner or what not. A current Stefeno from JJ Hat in NY. So it was getting a lot of wear in summer. I Try to avoid wearing it rest of the time... Just to keep it some life. Even though almost every day in South FL is straw weather. Adding those two C&Ks I just picked up really will take a load off of it.
