How many new jackets do you have coming (and how many potential ones)?

Received word yesterday that my Vanson House and Vanson Stadium jacket (the later customized with extra body length) are complete and will be shipped today. Will review them once they arrive as there has been interest in the more recent quality of competition weight cowhide. (I‘m pretty confident it‘s different yet just as fine, just as the other five batches of cw hide I already had in my hands which were all very different in look and feel but you know, some people just can‘t shut up about it).

I pretty much fly under the radar and don’t post much ...

These 3 were already in route ahead of the Appalachian

I love the details used in those eras.. extra “ticket” pocket, epaulet cuffs.

Cool Art Deco label

..and a mystery jacket, no label, no size, terrible pics, sketchy details but seller accepted offer low enough to give it a go. Any guesses, ideas?

I shared that police jacket here a long time ago. I think it was only $40 at the time. Wasn't sure of the brand here and didn't hear anything from anyone else, but it is at least 60s? or 70s era due to the Talon teardrop zips.

I guess I missed it when you posted earlier. Found it 5-6 weeks ago, seller was pretty unresponsive to questions or offers til a couple days ago.

so freaking epic. what makes it even more so is that don't you live in NOLA??? LOL. Every time I think I'm nuts buying all these jackets living in Los Angeles, I come to ease thinking about you living in a built up swamp pretty much LOL. And I say that affectionately. I used to live on South Beach in Miami which is pretty much a landfill island.

Ha! Yeah we’re on the Gulf and surrounded by warm water on all sides…much of the city itself is actually below sea level.

A lot of my collection is lighter stuff, and my Ryder vest definitely gets the most wear. But I think everyone needs at least ONE jacket to wear when it’s cold and windy out and you don’t want 1000 layers. Who knows, maybe I’ll move up to the Carolinas or something one day and it’ll make even more sense.

Nice Trio! The Fieldmaster Label again in Wool. I will be getting my Wools out soon. I have several perfect for fall. I had to tame my desires and limited them on the Wool items. They can be consuming in their own way. I had to narrow it down. I've focused on the short Half-belts, which just work better on my height. They are very difficult to find so what I have may be it.

These two look very nice. I must stay away from their Color.

The leather is a standard looking police jacket from the 50s/60s. Two button cuffs, gathered sides instead of belt loops\, no kidney panel, badge holder. The gathered sides? I like the Snap down Shirt Collar. I have this on a Police jacket. It isn't rare, something different. The lining looks light weight? I had an Appalachian very similar, but also too different. Lot of Shops making police jackets back in the day.

You've been busy unpacking! My Vertical Zip is in my Zipcode, out for delivery tomorrow! This was a fairly blind purchase. Another Role of the dice.

I was watching that same vertical zip as well but was afraid it’d be too small. Plus couldn’t get much response from seller on measurements until the very end of the auction.
Yes the vintage wool/cloth outerwear can be just as addictive as leather, I’ve got way too many for a guy who lives in the desert. The thrill is every bit as much in the hunt as it is in the possession.
These 3 landed last week..

Hello all, first missive in this thread, hope it’s not out of place.

I have a modified D-1 coming from Aero.
The differences are a thinner shearling (usually only used on the Outlaw vest), one inch off the length and arms, and added width at the hem.
Hopefully here Tuesday.

A trade made in heaven. My Cal-Craft (42”) for the Sportclad (44”). This jacket was a bit too big for it’s owner and the Cal-craft a bit too small for me.
Should be a really nice addition to the stable and it’ll be nice to have one without the quilted nylon lining for warmer weather wear.

Awesome. If it turns out to be too small... I know someone who will be interested :p
