Greetings All:
Today...been feeling silly self-imaging under hats for awhile. Felt the old Stetson deserved a day of glory so it’s sharing a day with you all. It’s hard not to want to share such a wonderful old example of history and character and some very fine Stetson work from the early 20th century. Imo
Lot#1558 places it during those times we all love to see. I’m fortunate to have one i can wear, or more aptly, it wears me.

They obviously saw you coming and settled!!
You’ll be back.

The clerk said I'm exempt for another two years, so I guess that means I'll be back in two years and a day.

Nice! Can you provide us with more information on that hat?
Sure, this was made by @belfastboy as part of a trade. The dimensions are 2-3/4" brim x 5-1/2" open crown. The ribbon is 1-5/8" with a frayed trailing edge on the bow. Weight is 115g.

Here's a post with a few more pics and info.

Looking sharp in your shared pic - whatever the occasion.

For this early mornings dog soirre I wore a gray Stetson Royal DeLuxe Open Road. Always a pleasure wearing this thin ribbon fedora.

Home sipping coffee and walking about I changed to a Stetson Playboy (gray).

Cheers to all, Eric -
Thanks, Eric. I'm always inspired by your wonderful hat collection, daily escapades, and fine attire. I may have said to myself, "What would Eric do?" The summons said business casual so I figured a sport coat sans tie would suffice, though I suspect you probably would have been in suit and tie nonetheless.

It didn't occur to me until after I had changed that perhaps you may have been interested in the shoes too, so here you go (with hat to stay relevant):

If I had a hat with that presence that would have accompanied me yesterday, B.

I'm glad to hear that hat is getting the head time it deserves. :)

There's a Boegels felt on the Bay but it's a smaller size, 6-3/4 or 7 if memory serves me correctly.

One amazing hat Bowen. Deserves it’s time in the spotlight. Looks fantastic on you.

Yesterday evening my escapades had me wearing a Knox Vagabond.

I have shared many pics as the felt and insides are just soooo clean and well done. The ribbon is simple and neat. Well done Knox.

Morning dog soirre was taken wearing an over-welted Brock fedora.

The overwelt is tidy and evenly sewn around the hat brim. Clean.

The clean de-bossed Brock logo, definitely intact on this pristine hat, is a classy touch.

The lightweight felt is a very pale blue color. The Canadian manufacturer of this 30's hat did an excellent job in felt prep and trimming choices. While the ribbon thickness is thin, it in no way reflects poorly on the hat. The unlined nature of the hat implies it is meant as a warmer weather hat. The lighter weight sweat, certainly not super durable is comfy and works well in this non-reeded situation.

Good morning to all, Eric -

That is one great looking Borsa Milan, Charlie. Suits you so well, too. Nice you took it for a spin before the end of the season.

Hey, gang!
The parade of hats is just terrific. Now so close to Straw Hat Day, I’m starting to panic. To help calm my nerves I grabbed the Borsa Milan for the first time this season! Why did I wait!?! I love this lid!!! View attachment 360471 View attachment 360472 View attachment 360473 View attachment 360474 View attachment 360475
