What Hat Are You Wearing Today ?

A medium brown Royal Stetson I picked up from Brent @deadlyhandsome a while back. Yellow-gold trim. This one has tape on the liner, so it has obviously been cleaned and/or reworked. The felt at the front crease is thin but the felt is light and crushable and overall, the hat is consistent with my Stratoliners of similar vintage. I picked this one up as a grab-n-go hat and it fits the bill just fine. Lightweight and easy to wear. I've been keeping this one by the front door and it has been getting a lot of wear recently. Thanks Brent.

Arrived at my father-in-law’s condo and found these two standing guard. I guess they were looking for a meal of lizzard/baby iguana. Pretty cool.

And an open weave (sea grass I think) to replace a few pieces of sod and install a couple of plants in front of the AC unit. Apparently the HOA decided to make a new rule without telling anyone…. OR.. enforcing an old original rule that hasn’t been mentioned in the twenty years I been here. Shrug.

I think I agree on all accounts.

The owls from the street I couldn’t make out exactly what I was seeing. I thought someone had placed what looked like a large feather on the awnings. Then as I took a step closer I was like oh.. they are owl decorations…. Wonder why the neighbor put them there. Then… they both turned their heads simultaneously. OH. Real owls. LOL

HOAs are probably the greatest evil in the 1st world.

While I’m not one to give too much deference to hat rules such as.. “Can’t wear straws before…..” or “must wear felt after….” Or vice versa. Today being National Felt Hat Day I felt the need to break out this one fine piece of felt.
