How many new jackets do you have coming (and how many potential ones)?

Yes you did. I was involved elsewhere and one person can make a difference. I would not have gone as strong as you. You are the East Coast Man, you know your stuff. This Boston area is like the West Coast bay area when I frequent. edit: this was a difficult jacket for me to not bid on! It is the Top of Quality, just doesn't have a name.

I have a sharp focus on the wool/flannel lined jackets from the late 40s. They just have a vibe, even the redos look better in the wool lining. These were the first of the post-war MC jacket boom. They just have that transition look, from old school to new school.

The leather quality of this jacket is so dramatic, I mean, hard to miss. Were people just missing the label? I do like a label, but quality is hard to hide.

Anyway, went to the right person. Look forward to your rave!

Thank you sir. I am happy. Along with the beautiful hide and wool lining, the short lifespan of the company intrigued me. Such beautiful jackets, especially the early ones. Like a comet in the vintage leather jacket world.

It was on my short list. One you have had major hand in crafting lol. I hope it fits well enough to actually wear out and about. Onto the next. Not too many more and hopefully I can drop the mic like A1.

I doubt it.

Unfortunately the USPS isn’t being cool and this one is delayed. But Ive got this HH Sportclad coming at some point. Very excited! The seller listed it as 50s/60s but I’m thinking could be more like 40s/50s? Trying to read up on Sportclad on the Lounge.

I’ve also got a nice red Baracuta coming, but I may have made a mistake with the UK sizing and it might not fit. The price was too amazing to let it go though so I took a chance. We’ll see, fingers crossed!

Looks amazing. Who did the work?
A Polish equivalent of Dena. A true magician, did 4 of my jackets. Specializes in biker jackets that have met the pavement, but does vintage jackets as well. I can provide info to those who are interested; makes most sense for those who are Europe-based due to shipping. I do business with her when I am there.

A Dena in Europe would be perfect.
I have nothing to make currently, but am still very interested in name/website. Sometimes the need comes faster than you think ;)

I do like this jacket. I don't recall seeing a Spiegel of this quality ever. The lining and Big Talon look great on this jacket. Why do these remind me of a Durable?

Ha! This Spiegel was the reason I did not buy this Durable for $380. I figured I already have something very similar. The Durable was still available when I clicked on the link, it was about 30 minutes after @JMax posted it.

I recently bought this jacket at full auction. $860 + tax + shipping.

If this jacket had been listed Buy it Now (BIN) for $860 I would not have bought it and I doubt anyone else would have. I would have hit BIN at $750, so to me the seller made about $100 more by auctioning this jacket.

This jacket below purchased by another member sells for $262 at full auction. It would have sold quickly with a BIN of $362 or more! So I calculate a loss of at least $100 for using the auction format on this jacket.

This Durable recently sold with a BIN of $380 or offer! This jacket at auction would have brought at least $300 more, probably a lot more.

Just saw this Hercules in the SOLD section. Sold BIN $700. I never saw the original listing. This is the iconic Sears Hercules made by Monarch. Pretty rough and very small. Not too sure this one would have bought $700 at auction, I would not have bid that.

I have at least 2 more sad examples of BIN priced jackets that I would have paid double or triple for.

No point, or it just got lost. I'm going back to ebay and do some mining.

What I notice is that for the more rare vintage leather jackets in our size, the sold price varies depending on who is looking at the monument. Auction fever can creep in at times where bidders throw caution to the wind. I had a bid just above your winning bid on the goat and decided I would not BIN at my bid, I was caught up at the moment so I withdrew my bid. The new owner of the 2nd jacket, the ranger scored big time. I never saw the jacket and If I had I would have thought it would sell much higher and might well have done nothing. I am not on an active hunt for jackets presently and rely on this thread to spot them more than my own searches. Any one of us who sees an auction for a jacket they want to bid on is not likely to post it here.

@tmitchell59 - here's another HH Spiegel. I have only seen three in the last 3 years.

The hide quality on those is very good, nice, stiff (but not too stiff), horsehide.

Did Durable make your Spiegel jacket? they look so similar, but I often get confused.

I didn't think I'd ever see this on an US jacket. Hidden button holes like that were often seen (if you'll pardon the horrible pun) on military uniforms at the beginning of 1900's in Europe and I personally think it looks super neat.

Yes, it does give the jacket an Older look. The finish is rather incredible too. I will do some fit pics.
