Good morning. My mornings foray into the outside was done under a heathered felt.

Eric, Super! Your hat is a Janyška from my 2015 NOS Czech find.

Thanks tons for the info Steve!

This 30's hat is definitely a special hat for me. Certainly the standout heathered felt, "pure fur felt," but all of the details of the felt, ribbon, sweat and markings. I have only a couple Germain of central European hats and am pleased to have stumbled upon this hat offered for sale. It just makes me yearn to have seen these quality hats retailed in their day. A hat shop must have been a real trip in the day.

Steve, your hat knowledge is unparalleled. Thanks again.

Cheers, Eric -

It is a curled brim morning. The Stetson and I have been out for a dog soiree and some chores in the crunchy snow. Off the worn snowy paths I post-hole into the snow.

Home and enjoying the quiet me time, I have been sipping coffee while walking the property. A 30's back bowed Brock was my hat choice. The workmanship on the oldster hat is superb.

Continue the good weather in a dry winter.

Today a Tonak brother of yesterday's. same finish as the "antelope" felt and a color that Tonak interprets very well: blue.

We often talk about currently made felts and I would like to praise the Czech factory which, personally, interprets special finishes with great skill.

In this case the deep blue is very solid and with a unique shade

I wish you a happy day and I sincerely thank you for the likes of yesterday

Eric, Thank you! It's a very unique / special hat. I am happy it's in the best of hands. I actually visited the Janyška factory site & Villa back in September 2019 and I met a Janyška family member (Peter Janyška) who's uncle was one of the last factory directors.
