How many new jackets do you have coming (and how many potential ones)?

Cal fresh out the box from Reg. This started as a Thedi day but it’s definitely ending up Cal! Pic-heavy but y’all I’m so over the moon with this one

The fit feels perfect. I can move around with no issues. Will have to give it some long wear to determine if it aggravates my shoulder but it certainly feels less restrictive than the Aero 50s halfbelt in tank armor CXL I had recently.

The hide is beautiful, weighty but disappears while on, interesting grain especially the back. Just incredible.

Thanks @regius

That is a perfect fit. It looks to me like a made to order jacket. The hide is just spot on. Cal did not make many horsehide jackets. My friend and former neighbor was a CHP trooper. Back in the 70's they used to reinforce the belt loops with copper rivets. I will do the same with my latest Cal. They do not need it, but to me, they are cool as hell.

In the Blink of an eye this appears, I quickly went through the pics, saw the sunrise zipper then calculated 59cm, I went past offer to BIN with fingers trembling. Coming from England.

There were 18 watchers, I did not arrive early. I don't understand? Why would you watch a jacket like this be sold? size 44, not too small. I'm stunned I got a chance to buy it even at full asking price.

Thanks man. It’s incredible. Still riding the high.

Can you share a pic of the rivet reinforcement you’re talking about? It does sound cool

That’s a beauty TM. One of my favorite JCP labels. Great score.

I will take some images for you to see. There are many on line also. You need a setter and some copper rivets/washers. I also have done it with Brass tubular rivets. A little faster but almost as strong. Since you are not carrying a side arm and other gear on the belt, tubular rivets are plenty strong.

Westride "Hercules" in goatskin and Jelado zipped A1 with the jacquard knits. The Westride Herc was a good deal (I think) at ¥35,000 ($260). Goatskin last forever. If anyone has the Johnson Leather Herc please post a few photos in the Johnson thread, and I am most interested about the torso pattern on the Johnson Herc jacket. What is the chest to waist to hem? The Japanese jackets usually runs on the slim straight so the chest is only 1" to 3" up from hem with a nip tuck at the waist. This Westride one is supposedly made in Niigata but the pattern has a 5" to 6" drop, very unusual for a Japanese jacket. From the timing and era I am assuming the original Herc has only a 2" drop from chest to hem like the A2 flight jackets, and much shorter than all these repros, which is really the L size of the original I think.

I'm normally anti-knit but I actually love that waistband knit! That is super cool!

Those jacquard knits are cool and was the only reason I bin that jacket. Hopefully they're still in good shape as I would have no idea where to get replacement knits for them.

The square dance partner to my other western wool arrived. Perfect fit aside from the length. I’ll have my tailor subtract 1.5-2” from the body and alaman left my way right out of this latest diversion from leather.

travelling evangelist vibe in this, i dont mean it in a bad way, just there is some strong righteousness feel to it maybe the very structured pointy yoke and its color
