How many new jackets do you have coming (and how many potential ones)?

I have a shearling topped dress coat, with four similar ones on the way, as I am attached to the look! Worst part, I probably have a coat or jacket for every occasion...twice!

Roughwear Clothing 2 way pocket. Here it is with the Hercules label and lighter lining with an Aviator collar. I wanted that jacket, you did well even with the stitches. The lining is probably an order for that retailer

My jacket has a Talon sunrise zipper. The jacket is sold. I would guess 1941. The jacket was sold before I knew of the date code.

Your jacket appears to have a changed the zipper. The pull that is pictured is a 50s. I can't really see the zipper stitches. An original zipper could have been several configurations. The gather sides indicate a war time shortage c.1943 in contrast to mine with the metal parts, probably pre-war.

I forgot to download the pictures of your jacket and stunned to realize it was not an Aviator, but a straight zip. Your jacket goes back to the simpler front design of the pre-war jackets.

These 2 way pocket jackets were a staple in the Roughwear line being produced with Windward, labels, Admiral Byrd labels, and Hercules labels from the late 30s through the later 40s.

Then the Variation as @jeo pictured above. That jacket style is patented and produced during the same time also with a Roughwear label.

Pretty much a run down on the popular Roughwear style jacket. The early model came in brown, suede, some tweaks. The 40s jacket I have only seen in this Brown color.
Thank you!

The East West is a week late tomorrow and probably a couple of days away. I do have two others that should be arriving on Tuesday, hopefully three in a Day.

Got to mail one to Canada tomorrow. A fellow came from the past just as I was doing an inventory. Got one I don't wear.

I am thinking about ordering an Aero Hooch Hauler with the following configuration:

* Black Goatskin
* Sunset Red Quilted Rayon
* Universal nickel zipper
* Looped ball and chain

You certainly do, in different shades :D

I was working with Constantine on a gray Shinki-of-some-kind-he-could-source-that-was-supposed- to-be-awesome J-82. When he was at Vanson. I ended up with another order with Stuart instead. That LT B beckoned.

I’ll find a nice used gray jacket someday. Lately I’ve been more into denim or canvas jackets and them awesome vests. Too many vests. Always with a vest, all year, even under most of my jackets.

Shame he left, he was great!

The LT is amazing, still my favourite jacket on the bike. BTW, did you ever get a deer jacket from LW?

Psyched this is coming. Thanks to TFLer OTH.

Amazing!!

The B is amazing on the bike. Absolute protection from cold air flowing into the jacket.

No deerskin. I think that at that point I shifted over to vintage stuff for a bit. Found my keepers and have a few to still find in my size, condition, price but now I’m pretty much off vintage jackets too. Back to more functional contemporary stuff. But not new. I may be done with new leathers for now. Chasing down deals on repros & Vanson.

Fidelity came. Really impressed with the horsehide and construction quality for the age. Not sure if DR will ever be my style but I thought this one was really cool.

If anyone has more info on the era going off the tag/waldes zipper I'd love to learn more.

If you decide DR is not your style and if it’s a size 44, I’m your huckleberry
