New Aero Original Hercules review, with fit pics

It's pretty snug, and thankfully I haven't put on much weight around the waist since I bought it, so it still fits. With the jacket zipped, I can pull the bottom front out about an inch from my belt, which feels about right. I never use the side straps, which appear to be ornamental. Even if...

    FS: Good Wear Imperial

Wow. Great jacket. Did it sell yet? Did you post it elsewhere? And may I ask how tall you are? The measurements all square, other than the back length, which is a tad shorter than I'd like.

First Impressions_ 1920's Work Coat in Vincenza hide_with added fit pics to post

That's a real beauty. Did you have the close the back split (not sure that's what you call it)? It is the one aspect of this style I'm not convinced by but it never appears to open up in your fit photos.

I have Beckman's. Great boots. I wear them every day it not too hot to.

Life with ONE great Leather Jacket vs. Life with MANY Leather Jackets

It'd be nice if some of the one-jacket guys out there could post some pics.... Or post links if the pics are elsewhere on the lounge.

    Zip it

I have to say, I don't get all the fuss. I have a brass hookless and it works fine once the leather around it breaks and you get used it. It is certainly much more serviceable than the side straps, which don't say in place so appear to be mostly for aesthetic purposes.

    Goatskin vs horsehide

This thread would be a whole lot better with some pics. Just sayin'!

    Iron Rangers or Wolverine 1000mi?

Both my IRs and Beckmans are size 9, which is at least a half size smaller than my size in any other shoe (I bought some new Nike running shoes the other day, size 10.5, for example). My other other advice would be to make sure they really fit before you start that break in process. My first...

    Iron Rangers or Wolverine 1000mi?

For your viewing pleasure, here are my current two pairs of Red Wings. I love them both. Iron Rangers. They break in more quickly, don't weigh as much as the Beckmans and are a bit more fashion-forward. They do fine with jeans but look off with anything dressier. Like I said above, the soles...

    Iron Rangers or Wolverine 1000mi?

I have a pair of Beckman's and a pair of IRs. I have literally worn the latter in war zones. They are very comfortable boots that break in easily. If you live in a place where it rains or snows, beware that the IR soles leave much to be desired. They have almost no grip on ice or even on wet...

Aero Stockman at 2 Years - Detailed Pics

Strange question, but what are your experiences with jackets this long when you sit down. I have a shorter jacket, which fits great standing, but which feels strange sitting down or riding in a car. The front bunches up and such. I guess with the button-up models you can undo a bottom button...

    Aero 1920s Original Hercules

Hey Schitzo - The photos do make it appear that the jacket is shorter, and many of us thought it looked too short from the get-go. But I am afraid that no number of photos or posts is going to fix this issue for you. For me, the only reason to wear a garment that costs this much is because you...

    shrinking aero anyone?

Interesting video. Those diagonal folds at the shoulders often appear when the jacket is not broad enough in the shoulders. They appeared right away with a fit jacket I got from Thurston Bros, so Wade had me go up one size and they disappeared. You often see them in other clothing too, even...

    New Aero Maxwell

This is a really nice looking jacket. I've been looking at the button-up models that seem to work well in longer cuts. My zip jackets always ride up when I sit down, so I'm thinking a button model at least allows you to open the bottom button. How tall are you and what is the back length, if I...
