Shawl Collar Cardigans

Blacksheep is producing its shawl collar cardigan only in dark grey and light grey. Any alternative? I like these cardigans in dark green or dark brown.

BTW, prices are insane. Here a £1,150.00 cardigan;

No way any sweater is worth that much.

They ARE made overseas... can't recall but it ain't japan.

I have the green one, and replaced the green plastic buttons with leather-covered ball buttons. really nice sweater but the wool smells funny... Using for my WW1 uniform, and outside. They run a touch small.

I have one of those in olive drab. Very nice and they do run a touch small although I still wear my normal size. Great idea with the replacement of the buttons as the original buttons appear quite cheap.

Any place that charges $1,000 for sweaters that goes by XXL sizes and come in stock colors is ridiculous.

Throwing out another name of a tinny little company I've become a fan of: S.E.H. Kelly.

It's not a full shawl collar but it's close.

Dense local sourced yarn with an actual horn button and it's all made in England. That's something that should last forever.

The Duluth Trading sweater looks good. The flannel lining makes it a good winter wear option.

Wow, Dav, that's wonderful!!
It looks great on you, in fact it looks much better on you that it does on me. That color works well with all sorts of jeans, chinos and corduroy trousers. A nice chambray or denim shirt (as in your picture) makes it look even better.
Does yours still have the "Eau de Barn" scent or have you washed it prior to wearing? I've hand washed mine about half a dozen times and it shows no signs of premature wear, fading, fraying or shrinkage. Feels like its going to last a lifetime...

Dinerman, thanks a lot for those scans. The first cardigan looks like one of those 12-ply monsters that some micro brands offer these days. I would love to have one of those...especially for 7 Dollars plus payment plan.
