You got the gist exactly.
The popcorn’r normally doesn’t become part of the movie.
I’m still trying to figure out the one word “crickets” meaning??
B
A good example for "crickets" would be if a comedian told a joke, and instead of laughter there was dead silence enough to hear the crickets chirp. The same could be applied to commentary that warranted a response, but got none.

Thanks!!
A great one word response for my ex-wife.
It used to be “bulls**t” said in all caps.

Great hat @Michael A , and I love the jacket
Thanks Alan. It's definitely one of my nicer hats. And the jacket was a great holiday gift from bartender RBH.

Ciao Michael and thanks. Your daily parade of wonderful hats is endless.
The "French iron" instead of a torture instrument I think it is an iron brush with which to treat the felt during processing to obtain the effect of the short and medium fur with shine.
Steve for sure knows more than me.
Thanks Daniele. I'm afraid my collection pales in the face of yours. It would be fun to see a French Iron in operation.
Love that one Michael. Such a clean look with the matching color ribbon.
Thanks Tim. The ribbon has a very nice sheen to it in the sun. No sun to be seen here today. Or tomorrow from the sounds of the forecast.

Thanks all,
Michael

+1.

Man, that’s so white compared to my old silver bellies. Maybe they need a naphtha bath, but I’m a little nervous on those.
They vary so much. Somewhere around her i posted a bunch of Clear Beavers all around a table. Prob the 7X thread. It was very apparent the shades. Was a lovely display to enjoy if i do so so.
Different eras, different shades, that’s what keeps us coming back.
Be well. Bowen

I am so sorry my reply did not produce the popcorn fodder you were looking forward to. I hope you hadn't popped it, yet. I shall endeavor to be more curmudgeonly in the future.

That’s when you think you’ve said something funny and no one gets it or laughs. In the hushed, awkward aftermath, all anyone hears are the disquieting sounds of crickets.
