I don't know what weight the denim is, and the website doesn't say. It feels a bit thinner than my Levi 501 jeans, but not ridiculously thin and flimsy. The color is that wonderful dark blue with, as you can see, contrasting white stitching. I normally wear size 7-1/2 so that's the size I ordered, and the fit is pretty much as good as it could possibly get without having the cap made specifically for my head. It's close-fitting, presumably to minimize the chances of prop wash blowing it off of the wearer's head (this is, after all, based on the USAAF A3 cap). The brim is shorter than a proper A3 and appears to be nothing more than the two layers of denim with no additional reinforcement; not completely rigid, but not floppy either and it came folded upward as you see in the photos.

No liner, as you can see, but the seams are reinforced with seam tape and the company tag, size label, and an "American flag" label (their caps are made in Pennsylvania, according to the website) are sewn to the cotton sweatband at the back of the cap. It's not exactly to spec--the brim is shorter and it has those little vent holes on the crown--and it's a little higher priced than some other A3s on the 'Net. But for me this is one of those "I'll know it when I see it" hats/caps, and considering how well-made it is I think the $48 asking price wasn't unreasonable and I'm very happy with the hat.

Now I just have to decide which color of Quint Fishing Cap to order...

It looks really well made. I could see myself putting one of those to some serious use at work. Im also a fan of the indigo denim. It will be interesting to see how it fades over time.

New blue and black tweed caps arrived from Jonathan Cordova. WOW!

The new leather sweats are dynamite. They have eye appeal and do not stick to my bare head with prespiration. They wear light and soft on my head.

I hope my pics capture the comfy and sporty brims of the caps. The spiral stitched brims take a curve easily and repeatedly.
