Like your twin brother Gary Busey! :D
I don't know a thing 'bout construction in California but when it comes to chose between your daughter's wedding and that beautiful A-1... Give it a think man, she'll divorce in a couple years, like everybody else nowadays :D Wedding party, honey moon...
Last year I got the unpachted version of their Forrestal G-1. It's like the vintage g-1 but with an A-2 collar. Technically an ANJ-3;
Right now it's the jacket I'm grabbing in a daily basis. Not high end but ultra-wearable. This one doesn't have side entry pockets.
Glad you lost 35 pounds but that was the jacket. THE JACKET. A fix by your local taylor, a donation to your local museum, a lease to Goodwear Leather for replication,. whatever! I have been into leather jackets for ages, you know it, and I still haven't seen such a beauty like that A-1. That...
Well, right under 600 and new in town , Cockpit just launched their 1000 hour a-2;

Not historically accurate, it does have side entry pockets but if it is half the wearable their former versions were, it could be an option to have in mind...
Hey Butte friend, I love it! One of the most beatiful cafe racers I have seen for ages. Good taste again but when you sold your A-1 you totally misstepped That one was one the finest leather jackets ever, EVER!
Hey thanks for the input ;)
Well, it is some confusing again :D A size down for wdw was pretty huge, a true size for bn1966 was ok. I think my best bet so far is going true size, XL. I have located a surplus shop in NY where they sell it for 160$. As long as it doens't run small, it is ok...
That's my home town ;) Alpha has a retailer here but I dropped by and they didn't have any N-3B to try. Only formal stuff, suits and things like this, very disappointing. You enter the shop, you ask for a N-3B and they look at you like if you were speaking chinese :D said what?
The very same...
Hey, bn1966 thank you, that's very useful, exactly what I wanted to hear.
I'm a US 46 too. If a XL is good for you, I'll go true size then.
I did read some comments about sizing up, in amazon.com, for instance. However, XXL still sounds too large to me. In my mind XXL is something huge.

What I'd like to get is an Alpha N-3B "regular", this one;

Not a "slim fit" version, that it is their best-selling and even more confusing when it comes to sizes. This is a big mess.
I'd like to get me an Alpha N-3B but I'm confused with their sizing. They label their stuff S, M, X, XL... I wear a US Size 46. I think the best match would be a XL but I'm not sure at all. Should I go regular, size up or size down?
Do their sizing have any thing to do with military sizes? I...
You're right :) I have found this;
