    Last year I got the unpachted version of their Forrestal G-1. It's like the vintage g-1 but with an A-2 collar. Technically an ANJ-3; Right now it's the jacket I'm grabbing in a daily basis. Not high end but ultra-wearable. This one doesn't have side entry pockets.

    Hey, bn1966 thank you, that's very useful, exactly what I wanted to hear. I'm a US 46 too. If a XL is good for you, I'll go true size then. I did read some comments about sizing up, in amazon.com, for instance. However, XXL still sounds too large to me. In my mind XXL is something huge.

    What I'd like to get is an Alpha N-3B "regular", this one; http://www.alphaindustries.com/Mens-Parkas/Alpha-Industries-N-3B-Parka.asp Not a "slim fit" version, that it is their best-selling and even more confusing when it comes to sizes. This is a big mess.

    Here in Europe I've never seen markings for shoe width. They just put a number; 40, 41, 42... I guess you'd need to try them first.

    Sorry to hear that. There are some sellers on ebay that ship from the UK but you'll have to pay custom taxes and the boots are going to cost you. :(
