I got this Akubra Stylemaster a couple of days ago. What a great hat. Great fit, and many compliments on it so far. I like to wear leather flight jackets and Indy style leather jackets, and it goes great with them. Here is me at work, wearing it.
I love mine too, just wore it yesterday. And I constantly recommend the Stylemaster as a great first fedora whenever newbies here ask for advice.
Is that color moonstone? My grandad died before I was born, but I got to wear one of his old hats in a school play (no idea on make or model). Gray felt with a slightly darker band and a satin lining with a plastic lining protector. Your picture reminds me a lot of it. Looks good on you.
I have an Akubra Sydney in Fawn from David Morgan. Are they the same hat as the Stylemaster? They look pretty close. I love my Sydney and if the Stylemaster is the same will buy another from Aus and save some $$$.
I have the same hat, it is one of my favourites.........I have another on in Mid Brown on order from Everything Australian (3 month wait).
Waiting on mine to arrive. Ordered an acorn color from David Morgan, only place I could find my size in stock and ready to ship. I just hope this snow doesn't slow it down.
I have one in the queue at Everything Australian. I have the poly straw Capricorn, which I understand to be the same shape and dimensions. I love that hat, so I'm trying the Stylemaster in gray in hopes of finding that classic dress fedora kind of look.
Bumping an old thread. I got a Stylemaster from David Morgan ON SALE. I am a fly fisherman and live right near Yellowstone Park. Every few years I seem to go through yet another cheap wool "cowboy hat". I looked at David Morgan's site and was surprised to see some Stylemasters on sale. Color was Mid-Brown only and very limited sizes. But this was my favorite color anyway, and they had my size in stock. $110 was a great price when the wool felt hat I was looking at was $80-something. This will be a working hat, nothing fancy. But so far I am really liking this hat.
That’s a Stylemaster? It looks to have a lot more brim than I remember the Stylemaster having. A good looking hat! Welcome to The Lounge. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Pro
They look great gents. My first Stylemaster (black) is now 24 years old and still looks like new. They make a sturdy hat up there in Kempsey.
