Cowboy Boots

  1. I don't even want my socks to look like that!

Texas Boot Co used to do a lot of padded tops like that back in the 70's & 80's. Kind a ripoff of the old padded & puckered roses.

    Man, that is one ugly...shoe!

If you're wearing cowboy boots, nobody's gonna know what your socks look like anyway.

  3. You’re a single man now. You best be aware of such things before you get laughed out of bed some night.

Lord.....if a woman can get past all else that I bring to the table then I doubt the color of my socks are gonna get in the way .

Found another couple pair of the apron style cowboy boots. All of the big three were involved in making this style and not just TL as they were all I had seen. The first are white label Nocona's and the second pair are Justin. Neither of these pair have the split toe.

Those two tone Noconas are some especially good looking boots.

I like those as well. The Justin's fall flat.

I agree. It's almost like there's too much toe sticking out past the end of the apron. The proportions seem off.

Those are nice looking ones. The black and white combination is real classy. A few years back, every Mexican boot shop here in town was stacked to the rafters with that style of boot. Now days you hardly see them. I wanted a pair with scorpions on them, but could never find any in my size.

Really enjoy it when you break those out. Stay out of the mud.

I wish @mmbarnes was still hanging around. I found him some cowboy boots this morning. Tie dyed tops from Tim Bishop.

I can appreciate the artisanship that went into producing that tie dye leather.....but what I really like about those is the spider web stitch pattern. That's a classic design that you really don't see very much of.

  18. After watching about 45 min of CMA Fest on TV last night & now seeing these boots, we can officially conclude that "Country & cowboy" have gone to hell!

Like Dale, I can appreciate the artisanship and I like the spiderweb stitch which is all but lost in those tops. I do like how he was able to match up the sideseams. That took some work. They're working boots as well. Black, roughout pig with a big spur ledge. Can't imagine the buyers inspiration. Maybe they spent a lot of time listening to evil music.
