I like the stuff they make. Sleeve are almost long enough. Bronson also make a few items that work well with a small long arm shape body. Helps out a lot on the motorcycle.

I am a 19.5 in the shoulders but my sleeve measurements are usually 26, 27, 28. The suede jacket I posted yesterday was a 24 in the sleeves.

The roughout shacket is short in the sleeves. But the big thing is that the sleeve opening is too wide for that rock star look. You could have it tailored and tighten at the wrist, but that's additional work and it's probably easier to just move it on.

The N-3A/N-3B in size Medium do have 35.5" nape sleeve length, but they wear shorter probably because the shrinking wool felt interlining and the knit cuff. However, when it comes to military clothing, I am much less critical about lengths or fit. As long as it's comfortable it's wearable.

The Ironheart pattern fit you very well. Stick with that and you don't have to worry about fit.

I have 17 " shoulder and 25.5" sleeve.
Ironheart works best in the non-custom world. Stick with that brand since it fits you. They have plenty of nice things to choose from.

There is something about the feel of their jackets, I love Real McCoys, but Iron Heart just feels so much heftier in hand, hard to describe.

I share the fate of the long arms. 19.5" shoulders, 28" sleeves are ideal. In a pinch, I'll also accept 27" lol

My leather jackets are all made to measure. My fabric jackets (M-65, M-51, N-1) are from Helikon Tex, Brandit, Pike Brothers and Mil-Tec. I would also like the sleeves to be a bit longer, but it's just about acceptable.

Looks sharp. Except the sleeves are too short again. I had a Schott made in Canada and gave it away because of the sleeves being a few inches too short.

Looks good, even if the sleeves are a bit short. If it were mine, I would have thick woollen knitted cuffs sewn in so that one or two cm peek out.

Thank you! I've been having a hard time finding a World War II peacoat that fits me well. This is the largest size I've found, but most of them seem a bit too small. Maybe people were smaller back then? If I can’t find one that fits, I’m seriously considering the Real McCoys 1913 peacoat, which feels a bit crazy. I usually don’t think about buying anything other than a leather jacket from those high-end brands, but I really love the World War One peacoat design; it’s my favorite and quite hard to find.

I appreciate your opinion because that coat has always felt a bit awkward to wear. I can barely fit an L.L. Bean sweater underneath it, let alone a chunky wool sweater.

I have read your guide, but I bought this coat a while ago, before I became a member. I'm fairly certain about my size, but I think I need to give up on finding a true Navy Peacoat. I can’t seem to find one in my size that fits my height.

If you are 6' 2" or over, then it may well be a problem.

I will take care of that! I’m between 6'3" and 6'4", so I usually tell people I'm 6'3" for sizing purposes. Some brands, like L.L. Bean and Carhartt, fit me well, but most others do not. I will move all my future comments about the US Navy peacoat to that thread. However, I might ask for opinions on the Billy Reid coat I have in this thread, since it's not technically a real peacoat.
