After seeing The Wizard of Oz yet again this weekend, it occurs to me that I need a Professor Marvel hat. He's the traveling charlatan with the crystal ball that Dorothy meets early in the movie. He wears a cool black hat with a wide brim. I wonder whether it was a standard style of the era represented (early 20th Century) or just invented for the movie? If anyone can furnish a photo of it I'll put it on my list of hats to be made someday.
