60's hat, but the brim and binding is nicely executed.

Wowwwww... super hat!

Stetson Milan Straw Stratoliner in "Sand"

Purchased new today at Paris Hatters in San Antonio, Texas (best price I've found for a new one) - dropped off a couple of felts to be cleaned and left wearing this one!

Just arrived, 1960's Resistol Eddie Bauer very long finish felt in charcoal gray, pheasant feather band, brim 2" w/ underwelted edge, crown 5 1/2" open 4" as creased. Came with badly crumpled center crease crown, mishapen brim, and several feathers torn loose. However, sweatband and liner appear mint, unworn and not a moth bite or nibble one!

Gave her the quick bash into a teardrop with a wet towel and brushed the felt and feathers. This is the deepest finish felt hat I have ever seen, like a fine plush teddy bear. Very soft warm hat will be great for winter. Once again, simply reshaping the crown of a neglected relic yields a very sharp and super comfy hat.

This Wegener Extra arrived a couple of days ago. At least from 1950 (newspaper sweat spacer from December 1950) maybe older. More details in the German - Austrian thread.

I feel like the "Oh Mama" refrain from Nick Cave's "The Lyre of Orpheus" is looping in my head. That is a fantasic find, MW! Love the contrast of the dark felt and light sweat.

This Borsalino is from the same seller as the Wegener Extra. Also appears to be from the same time period but originally sold out of Italy. I really the color of the felt and mid size ribbon.

Here I have a few new hats, the one I have on is the Bradford hat from Justin B, (weee nice hat there), and in my left is vintage O.R. Really nice hat, needs some work on the sweatband, but nice as pie! And my dream come true on the right is my vintage Strat! Wooot! Three silverbellies! That's enough to have a PorterHouse Steak for lunch!!!!

These two gems just showed up today, the Biltmore Milan that I just picked up from Robert, and the Stetson Straw Strat, from Landman. It can't get better than this for me...I will post some "noggin" shots as soon as my Wife gets back from running a few errands..she just called and informed me she found herself a vintage hat....this is for sure, hat day here! LOL!

Looks like you're stylin' LMH even as you're recuperating from your medical ordeal. Nice thin ribbons!
Great color on that Borso, Steve!

Thanks, it is no fun not being able to really get out to wear all the new hats I have, ....but soon...real soon, I should be making a run with my Wife to the Casino! (Cha Ching)!
