A nice, new discovery, Brent. I'll have to check them out. The hat looks very well made and the box is an impressive add-on with the hat.

I found a ne hatter on Etsy and took a chance based a just a couple photos (and the cheap price). I’m completely shocked at how much I like the hat. I want expecting much, but I’d be impressed at twice the price. They go by both Hares Haberdashery and King’s Umbrella Hat Co.
The first thing I noticed was how nice the felt was for being rabbit. It was expertly finished with a wonderful hand, but more than that it’s thin and easily molded. Really was not expecting this hundred percent rabbit for felt to be this nice. The felt does have a lot of spring back, and is not going to hold a shape without steam.

The sweatband is very supple, and somehow just a little nicer than most of what I’ve seen recently. It also has a decorative line of stitching like what Randall @Randall Renshaw does with his sweatbands. In addition, there is a sweat guard, or something similar sewn between the sweatband, and the felt. The liner is sewn in and well-fitted. Ribbon and binding are the exact same color and are well done. Were the binding end but together there is a small bulge in the ribbon, but there is no overlapping and you have to be pretty picky to care about it. The brim brake is decent, but could be just a little sharper. It doesn’t distract from the hat, but as so much of the rest of it is nearly flawless, It was one area where there might be room for slight improvement. I was so impressed that I’ve already contacted the Hatter to place an order for a beaver blend hat.

I need to mention the Hat box. It came in a heavy hat box weighing over three pounds. It is a wooden box covered in fabric. Additionally, it has metal camming closures at three locations around the perimeter to hold the lid in place. The hat box is quite spectacular. The inside lid of the hat box had a sleeve along with a paper certificate of authenticity. Check out the serial number!

The ribbon on that boater is just so exquisite, I have a couple of blazers that would compliment.
Speaking of which, I'm still trying to justify buying another blazer. It's not new, quite reasonably priced in fact. A company that specialises in renting menswear, mainly formal wear like dinner jackets, sell off stock when they replenish with new.

It's sold as a complete outfit, a new hatband would be all I change, something resembling the blazer's stripes. I just don't know if I could justify it to Tina. Maybe I should send Santa a note.
I think you would wear it quite well!!

Saw this Dunn on eBay, and decided to take a punt on it. 1950s according to the seller. It'll see some wear into the Spring, I expect - it's a little light for depths of Winter, but come late March / into April.... Seller's photo:

Fun little hat I'll enjoy wearing with a pair of pegged slacks, loafers, and a camp-collar folded out over a Hollywood jacket or a 50s-leaning blazer.

Very nice, Brent. That is some crown on that hat.

Let's talk about Borsalino and a gamble that didn't go entirely well.
Introduced on the market as a men's hat size 59 centimeters and considering the color and shape I was enchanted
Panna Borsalino F 6.jpg
I have bought very few hats of this color, although a few have been of above average quality and now live in the United States
Panna Borsalino F 2.jpg
Upon arrival I understood that the size was a dream generated by Borsalino's fervent mind
Panna Carta 1.jpg
Borsalino Rain Proof Line nominally size 59, but in reality it is between 56 and 57. Felt is thin and very light.
Panna Borsalino interno.jpg
Second not complete hazard is the ribbon with the bow in in the women's position
Panna Borsalino F 7.jpg
The measurements of the "Cream" Borsalino: curled brims at 5 cm. the ribbon is at 3.5 cm and the open crown is 12.5 cm.. Very nice and rare, for the color and shape of a "Lord hats"
Panna Borsalino F 8.jpg
The shape and color of the felt remains to make it a good gift for those who want to be kind to their loved one.

Leisure Lite by Paragon - The Californian
Luxury Quality - Natural Colored felt
5 inch crown open - About 4 1/4 as shaped
1 1/8 champagne grosgrain ribbon
1 row of decorative brim stitching

I haven’t seen too many from this brand Paragon Hats on the lounge…. But the ones I did see I liked.. so I decided to take a flyer on the Leisure Lite by Paragon- Luxury Quality. It is very soft and thin felt in a natural tan-ish color. It has a 5 inch open crown that takes a crease with the touch of a finger. The ribbon is 1 1/8 in a champagne color. It does so port a wind trolley cord.. but the button is actually stitched to the ribbon. I wonder if this wasn’t just like a tacking stitch to hold it in place before purchase. The 2 1/2 inch brim has a raw edge… and is treated with an unusual single row of decorative stitching. The stitching is a similar style that would be used to attach a brim binding. I don’t think I’ve seen this used on a raw edge before. Makes for an interesting look. Some of these stitches are starting to fray. The felt is mostly in great shape.. though there are a couple fairly well hidden moth divots.. including one that goes clear through.. just under the hat band. The unreeded sweat is very soft and malleable… it is debossed with “The Californian”…. Maybe I’ll call this one. “The Brent”.

I don’t know anything about this brand…. But I’d put my age guesstimate as approximately a 1940s hat.
