Was on Instagram today and spotted Rjl Ltd (also known as Drifter Productions) are using a photo of Real McCoy J100 but claiming it's made by Simmons Bilt ?

I thought I had seen that picture before, it doesn't seem to match the jackets he's selling on his eBay page.

SB/AL and RJL/Drifter Productions have sunk to a new low. RJL/Drifter Productions is an outlet/straw man for SB/AL to unload excess inventory at steep discounts.

The photo that RJL/Drifter is using to falsely advertise their jackets comes directly from Real McCoys' website: http://www.realmccoys.co.jp/blog/shop/2013/01/buco-j-100-jacket.html

RJL is using the same false advertisement elsewhere:

"Buco J-100 in Stock and made for us my [sic] the masters at Simmonsbilt." Also, note all the false hashtags.

Perhaps AL/SB has exhausted all of the Aero patterns that it received from WL and is now copying RMC jackets?

If it is not a genuine mistake, then that is pretty low. :(

Edit: Just had a look at the RJL main site, quite a mark up for SB jackets.

Oh wow, that is not cool.
I actually don't understand why someone would think this was appropriate.

The Picture was removed after I talked to my employee that handles social media marketing. A picture of a Simmons Bilt Is on the site. Is it just me, it seems like a number of the guys on here are like school girls gossiping and looking for reasons to try and put businesses down. Its always the same people also. Comparisons are always made. I hope their are more men on here than those that pretend to be. I love many of the products I do and do not carry. If I love something from another manufacturer or carried at another vendor I have no problem saying so. We all love our outerwear. I have been doing this going on 30 years. Mistakes will be Made by many people, It seems a few thrive off of others mistakes. Fortunately their are a great deal of good people on this site. I phone and email are always close for anyone with questions.

Mine will trace back to my home in PA. Blaming the accuser when you're clearly in the wrong probably won't gain much traction here.

This feels like a desperate attempt at gaining publicity and business. I imagine business dropped since the trial, especially due to their bad reputation here on the forums.

Truthfully, I feel pity for the employees who might be losing their jobs, it's people having to support families after all. I like the thought of resocialisation and I don't believe in collective punishment. I kind of wish SB they manage to bring out a few new fancy designs of their own and do whatever else necessary to find a niche for them in this market where they can start over in a better way. A nicely styled leather M-65 and a thighs length trenchcoat come to my mind... But copyright infringement certainly isn't that way and doesn't look good at all.
