I have seen those around, Stetson was re-producing it for their anniversary, I would love to find an original.

60's and 70's.......even fairly recently.....it is repo....originals are printed edge to edge...any border would be a lot differant ........I own and have dealt with vintage paper and printing for a long time, and even with your images can see it is on the wrong paper and colors for the 1870's......it should be on board, rag paper, or special printers papers used for lithographs. Gloss/Finish papers like that were not used at the time.
I believe one of the outlet stores has has this poster displayed and/or for sale.
If I saw it in person I could probebly tell you a lot more and even a decade it was printed.
Look at the printing under extreme magnification and you will know the exact printing process used....
I have print materials dating back over 400 years.........
    Best,
    M
PS....It is still a fun piece!!

These are all great references. I'm digging the Stiff Felts. I want a "Kew". Maybe I'll have Mike Miller make me one.

I will pm you with a list of favorites. I need a dedicated "living history" hat for the Monteith House museum I am involved with. We are in this date range, maybe a little earlier. You da man.

Here are some items gleaned from the pages of "The Hat Box", a company newsletter for all Stetson Employees. These clips are from 1925, 26, 27 and 1928..........LOTS AND LOTS of great information in these newsletters!

Early 60's Stetson hat catalog....had a great poem in the front "My Old Stetson Hat".....
Catalog also has an interesting mix of "factory creased" and "not factory creased"....
This is not the whole catalog but rather a nice selection of hats from it.....

In 1935 the Stetson estate was selling off items from the Library of John B. Stetson Jr.
Aparently they went through this cycle of selling off books and art on a semi regular basis.....
