Here’s some pics of a recent bmw barn find about 45 minutes from my home.
Owners name is Glen and his business is called thoroughbred motorcycles.
The R90 is my Xmas present to myself!

Wishing I were riding my bmeer somewhere anywhere but here today in our balmy -3.
Here’s a pic that inspired my current build.
I have the complete set up as the Black bike but my front end may have the triangle motor guard in chrome with a pair of fog lamps mounted somewhere near and mine also has the larger tank with the knee pads.
The white one will be my chauffeur driven one when I am 90 !

Those old Beemers are lovely bikes; I always think of the B60 that Elspeth Beard rode around the world in, what.... 1982? Back in the days when the world was much bigger, and we had neither web nor mobile phones...

I see a fews of these old Beemers around Mile End these days, lovely bikes. Very distinctive, with that squared-off tank, unlike any of the rounder Brit bike tanks which were also aped by the Japanese bikes of the day.

Update: visited my bike today as it’s now made its way into the shop for its conversion. Here are some pics of where it is currently in the build. Super excited after not seeing it for several months, not to mention seeing more scratches and dirt now that it’s out of the dark barn but that’s ok.

Ok here’s the latest news on the barn find cruiser. Got her running today and just have to upgrade horns, and hook up the fog lights and add volt meter plus a dual USB port.
Not to mention clean it up a bit .

Finally out for a test run having gotten it mostly sorted out. Rides like a dream, cruise at 60 effortlessly with a gear to go. Here’s a pic on a scenic or rustic road as their called here , was avoiding traffic as I was t feeling that confident yet.

If anyone has instrument replacement ideas please let me know as I wanted to simplify the dash look with more modern indicators. Maybe a large single face dial or?
Thank you

Nice bike, I kind of like to simple white on black gauges you already have. Just me but I'd leave them as it... :)

Thanks agree, letting it stay stock .
Put on a shorter fairing that I am liking better as well, and tightened up switches and gauges helped too I believe. Here’s a pic.
