What Hat Are You Wearing Today ?

  1. Thanks Greg. I haven't seen many of these in the past, not on Ebay much these days. The dog pin reminded me of my Redbone Coonhound, couch potato.

Wonderful wide brim Knox Perry. Seems those are hard to come by, I still haven't found one.

Well, I was going to wear the 3X Open Road today, but the grandkids stopped by on the way to school to drop off Girl Scout cookies, and Lylah stole my hat:

Oh well, I’ll trade it for another hat and ride the bike today since it’s supposed to be 60F and sunny this afternoon:

A rere look at the interior of one of Perry's hats! I love hat viscera.

I lucked into one over the summer. It's a good wear.

I really like the polypropeen Akubra hats. No matter if a rain drop fall on top of them. I have both colors of the Capricorn. The one you showed in the picture and a grey one.

Lovely OR, Eric. I need to get out my 3X one of these days.

Thanks Eric. Been more coat than jacket weather here lately, but seems like that has changed and the next 10 days might well be a straight run of jacket weather.

I'm a fan of back bow, too. And I like the color changes that go on with this ribbon in varying light conditions.

Super color combo on that hat, Panos. And gills. It's got it all going on. Love that jacket too. Classic look.

Thanks Tim. I should finish that bow one of these days. The hat came without a ribbon, so I made one up. Hope you got a good ride in on the motorcycle today.

    Thanks all,
    Michael

A pre-war softie, made by Anton Peschel for Oviatt's. Amazingly, Steve came upon the plate used to imprint the liner for this hat.
