Our state license plate reads, "Land of 10,000 lakes. In fact Minnesota has 11,842 lakes. That's a lot of lakes, but Alaska has over 3,000,000 lakes. In any case this morning I watched the local Osprey's fishing and bringing food back to their high roost.
I wore a "Genuine Imported Panama."
Early summer still has a lot of color.
Home and fixing lunch I changed to a Cordova Cap. This is the ultimate in breezy and light head gear.

That is truly "self-conforming"!
Pacific Brim pandanus with a added feather hat band yesterday at my local beach. Got some new swim fins, but the waves were pounding me none the less, and I spent way too much time under them, rather than floating over them. Gonna head for calmer waters today, maybe Hanalei Bay.

Excellent hats I've seen this week. A pleasure to watch. It's been quite busy and I found my plans for a Ecuadorian week thwarted by a severe drop in temperature and rain. Here's the harvest for the past week without a theme though.

Borsalino Qualita Superiore
This Borsalino Qualita Superiore made for Portuguese market is the thinnest lightest weight Unlined felt hat I have ever handled. Super soft thin moldable felt with a 2 in brim and a mid ribbon.
Because the hat was originally sold at Teo The English Outfitters in Gibraltar I suspected the 6 3/4 sizing on the tag may well be UK sizing. It does appear by fit that is the case.
I was expecting from the photos a project hat that was going to need a deep cleaning as it appeared to be covered in some type of fungus. However I was able to remove most of it with a very heavy brushing.
It is a super comfortable and very sleek and stylish hat that is a pleasure to wear.
