Late posting but yesterday was pretty nice temperature wise in North Texas. It didn't get out of the 70s, was overcast, and rainy. So felt was in order. I have just been waiting to the right circumstances to wear this Borsalino Lontra. This is the first I've worn it since sending it to Mike Miller to shape for me. This hat is so light and soft - it's kinda hard to get rid of the wrinkles.

THAT hat even makes wrinkles look good!! Hat wrinkles, that is. Your skin looks baby smooth, Bill. :)

Continuing my little impromptu Stetson week with A bit of lawn maintenance this evening in this canvas Stetson I picked up in a thrift store about a year ago for a buck. I do like the neato liner in this one. All the water and sun we have had last couple weeks had me a Forrest growing in the back yard.

Aurel Huber "Antilope", possibly mid 1950s. They were originally a famous Straw Hat Factory in Lindenberg, Germany (see Mayser Milz & Cie, ect). I think they started Felt Hat production prior to WWII but really increased production + added felt production post WWII. Many ex J. Hückel´s Söhne (Czechoslovakia) ended up working for Aurel Huber post WWII. I am not sure why it's so difficult to find older Aurel Huber hats. The Antilope finish is great and the felt easily dry creases. I am not sure if the vents are original but they lineup properly so highly possible.
