Italian/Borsalino Week - Day 8

Borsalino Gesso Sfumata 2

The last of my ‘Coffin Box’ finds. A super soft furry petable felt with no real stiffener at all. This one as well as its sibling of the emerald green Maloia are far from everyday wear hats for me. These two unusual hats usually reside in their coffin boxes awaiting the occasion to emerge.

A little modern-day Biltmore trifecta over the past couple of days. One Canadian made and the others were made in the USA. I like to collect Canadian pieces, but these two American-made hats are well constructed and very nice. They were made to emulate the Canadian Biltmore Rosellini line, which was considered their finest hat.

The USA Imperial line the "Selkirk" maybe 2015 vintage.

The USA-made Imperial line, the Sanford, also may be manufactured in the mid 20 teens.

Canadian made Royal line the "Ark" approximately '01. A little lower down on the pecking order for Biltmore in its day, but a sturdy, comfortable hat just the same.

I had my second COVID vaccine yesterday, feeling a little crummy today.

That is a Biltmore trifecta for sure. Hope you feel better soon.

Hope you feel better soon Reggie. My sister and her daughter (a dentist) both reported a rough go with the second round (but worth the trouble!).

Great series of hats. I really like the bow and brim edge treatment on the first two. You wear them well!

Great looking collection. Hope the vax doesn't treat you too bad. I felt pretty run down for a couple of days after my second one, but I guess it beats the possible alternative.

Hope you are feeling better today, Reggie. I'm up for my "one and done" J&J shot this afternoon.

Nice trifecta, Reggie. I won a trifecta at Santa Anita once, think it was 48 to 5. Yours is nicer. Congrats on the second shot. You should feel some serious weight lifting in another couple of weeks.

Michael
