Gray skies provide a fine contrast for my Stratoliner. Really enjoy wearing this one, love the color.

Glad things have taken an upward turn.
I couldn’t imagine how your hat collection could take an upward turn, but you always seem to find a way.
Thank you Gary

Gorgeous black hat, Randall.
Thanks, Perry.
You didn’t ask but here’s a pic of the inside anyway.
I feel led to since @carouselvic finally posted inside pics of one of the many of his outstanding lids. :)
Plus, it’d be nice if someone could tell me if mine is one of the earliest versions of Vita-Felt or one of the later versions.

Nice TAR, there Charlie. And a good one eye, as well!
I don’t try it any more since I cain’t do it right. I had posted that I was trying to channel my inner Robert Mitchum and one of you guys commented and said I had missed him widely, only to end up looking like Daffy Duck when he played a private eye.

Naw they didn’t. Just jokin.
But I felt daffy enough.
Just ain’t got “IT”.

Thanks, B.
Sorry, I should’ve been more specific.
Was trying to get an estimate of where this hat fell between those years of 42 to 47.
Some Vitas of that period had “Vita-Felt Process” embossed into the sweatband and others had only “Vita-Felt” written on the liner tip. The old thread discussion on which came first wasn’t made clear to me when I read it.
I am not sure, but seems to me that the ones without the word, Process are the earlier versions.
This Vita Homburg that I got a few months ago displays clues of mid 40s hats, where my black one has clues of earlier 40s?
What do you think?
