It's as if that Borsalino was made, found, restored and cleaned for you Daniele. I believe it has found it's rightful home.

    Hey all!
This Keith Brothers "The Tiger Special" sees the sun today. It is my oldest hat, from about 1915, give or take a couple years. There are more detailed pics of it in the Keith Brothers Hats and Caps thread that I took when it arrived. The original oh-so-carefully rumpled almost-backbow is shown (it was crumbling into dust), as well as the sticker (also crumbled in the repair process) and the stamp of the sweatband manufacturer is visible too.
Trying a center dent look on it.

    Have a great day!

  7. Nice John. Is that a back/side bow?

    Thanks hato!
It's about four fifths of the way to being a backbow. I recall somebody posting about how this was a short-lived fashion trend for a year or two sometime in the teens.

Great old museum piece John. I've always enjoyed that unusual bow position.

Nice but I especially like that ribbon treatment.

I recently ordered a custom hat from Hufvud in Sweden. Mikael was a pleasure to deal with and the hat was exactly what I was expecting. The felt has a great feel and the colour and quality of finish are exactly what Mikael had explained to me. It's always a risk ordering a custom hat from somewhere as far away from Australia as Sweden - but this was a risk worth taking.

Back to work in a Cordova Cap. Wool, a bunch of wool, is needed for a cold day.

I like that style. Cool hat, John. I leaves me wondering though if that almost backbow was always intended that way

Today, Friday is the time for a Borsalino from the 70s
    [IMG]
There are no indications on the quality because the logo on the lining is quite rare to see
    [IMG]
The color is "Folco" and the year of manufacture 1976
    [IMG]
Felt is a marvellous, soft and velvety with a short fur finish
    [IMG]
The color is a dense choccolate and the lustre finish is called melusine
    [IMG]
On the sweatband there are six X which are the "touches" of the manufacturer's marketing
    [IMG]
Have a nice Friday. Thanks for the likes on the Borsalino "Debrosan"
Next week more hats, but not Borsalino ;)

    Thank you, Perry.

I thought I missed the memo. I pulled mine out because you were wearing that fine nutria yesterday.

Nice hat and nice workmanship. Congrats. I may just have to get on the train in Elsinore and pay Hufvud Hats a visit in Lund. Luckily, I'm only a train ride away.
