It has been a minute! Lots of personal stuff and business stuff have captured my time. I have tuned in on rare occasions the past months and have really enjoyed the hat and cap sharing. While I have not tuned in and shared, I have continued to wear my hats/caps.

Cheers to all the posters on this thread! Great hat parade!

Let me correct my lack of sharing with a post. Below are some hats I wore the past week.

PHD. Spring 2026 I ordered this with "venting," 3" brim and a larger crown (extra 1").

Another lovely Sunday mix of styles and shapes, Stefan! I'm going with the Stetson Twenty Texan as #1, the Borsalino as #2, and the Penumbra as #3. Thanks for sharing!

Dobbs Rosebud. Some sort of polystraw in a Milano weave. Picked up some months ago on eBay for buttons (perhaps too many among the target market for this hat model felt their masculinity somewhat threatened by a fetching shade of Lavender?). Entire outfit for the day based around it. Neckwear was originally intended to be a Lavender bow, but then my new Fouders Club tie arrived in time for the perfect opportunity for its debut.

A few days ago I found an Akubra Cattleman, a tad to big for me - I'm 57 cm and this was advertised as 58-59 cm, but for the price I didn't think much and my plan was to use it as a replacement yard hat. Well it arrived and it looks brand new, apart from a little dust it doesn't look like it has been worn at all.

So for the premier walk I went over to a nearby beach this morning, it was a little windy on the way back, so I'm glad that I put some paper towel behind the sweatband.

On the walk home I asked a young lady to the hat for me as she is far easier on the eyes than me.

Wishing everybody a good start to the week

:D nothing wrong with a touch of lavender, you certainly pull it off.

I must admit I was more shocked by the sign saying that the train was on time, than the colour of your outfit :p - I hope that you have good weather and a great to to go with it.

Heh, thank-you. I'm actually very taken with the hat... I've been idly looking at the model for a long time, then that particular one came up at a price I couldn't resist.

Weather was perfect for the Olympiad: bright and sunny, but not too hot. Around 26 celsius, so perfect, really. The train service down and around the Lewes area really is quite something. We stayed in Southease, one of the villages that surround Lewes, and even on a Sunday there are trains into town at the rate of one an hour every hour until late! Once can only presume it's the land the Beeching Reforms forgot.

Today I'm sulking because I wasn't willing to overpay for a hat that I didn't need, and I use the word "need" loosely to begin with.

To make myself feel better I pulled out all my Optimos and I think this will be an "Optimo week".

This one is interesting. It is a lord's hat with a shark gill ribbon and three rows of stitching on the brim.

I saw this hat on The Real Real app. To date, it is the only Optimo I've seen listed there, and it intrigued me because the price was relatively low. It also annoyed me, however, because TRR usually doesn't provide enough or accurate sizing information to make an informed purchase - absurd, in my opinion, for a site that expects you to pay top dollar for second-hand luxury goods.

This one was returnable, so I figured I would buy it just to look at it, expecting to either flip it or return it, depending on what I got. There was no liner picture of the hat, or any other information to prove it was actually an Optimo - though TRR is usually pretty good about brand identification.

To my surprise, when it arrived, it actually fit me! It has become one of my favorite Optimos, and probably one of the few that I paid a reasonable amount of money for.

Optimo "Lord's hat" in whatever color brown this is. I put a little pinch in it today, but I often wear it with just a clean center dent. I love this hat.

... I noticed a couple specs of fluff on the underside of the brim after I took the photos; my apologies. I pulled out my hat brush and made them go away.

That's a "real" find, especially for TRR.
