I see these hat/boot pics and I think "party on the feet."

  5. More like, partly on my feet.

    Today....an O.P.S. tagged Knox Twenty.
    The Custom Edge is impeccable.
The difference between the Knox Twenty and Dobbs Forty is mostly academic. Both wonderful. Imho
    Be well. Bowen

Touring downtown Bryan Texas in my new-to-me 50's Stratoliner. I stopped in at Catalina Hatters to look over their felts. They had a vintage 3X OR on the shelf but it was not yet for sale. Rats!

Feed me tacos? Yes I did!

Lobbia Borsalino Qualità Extra Superiore size 6 or 7 3/8 US
    [IMG]
It was sold in Switzerland in the sixties
    [IMG]
Color is "Rutenio" and the type is "Mula"
The felt is thick more than the usual Borsalino, but it happened in the Borsalino Lobbia called "Mula"
I have others with the same type of felt. Contrasting ribbon that I like even if a classic

Thanks a lot for your likes and appreciation, you showed me everyday a bunch of interesting hats!

Back to the deep freeze, but that's not going to keep me from some Mardi Gras celebration tonight.

Not the weather for an unlined lightweight, but the Frunoliner get the pick anyway.

  10. That is an excellent Mardi Gras hat, Jim.

That Biltmore is a superb hat, I love it. There's a Biltmore straw amongst my summer hats that I particularly like because of it's versatility to match mostly any warm weather wear. Sadly, the front end of the brim keeps curling under. If I leave a weight on the curl it comes back into shape, but doesn't stay there, any tips or suggestions that might help?
