Inspired by a recent acquisition of Brent's, today I wore the Barclay rebuild.

Greetings All:
Today....thought i was done with Homburgs but i found some more.
So...for all those Homburg’ers out there...back to America with this unruly sort. I guess it did not care for it’s communal home in a bag.
This one can’t even play catch with that Resistol but it says it’s Superfine.
Be well. Bowen
Ps: thanks all for the Burg encouragements, even that “respectable” one. Lol

That has to be one of the most beautiful hats I have ever seen!

This one again. One of the few hats I might commit a crime over and it won't even fit. Beautiful, Alan. Thanks for sharing this one.

Beautiful, Alan. Love the look of the felt on that one.

Thanks very much for the appreciation. I love it too. I don't post this picture often, but you might enjoy seeing the hat as it came to me. I would rarely modify a hat this old, but the wide ribbon was torn and I wasn't convinced it was original to the hat. Rather than put on a new ribbon, I used an old narrow horsehair band. The dimensions are ample and the hat seemed able to carry a western look well.

That looks a very nice Knox Homburg, Bowen. I particularly like the shape plus ribbon and brim binding.
Once you've got the Homburg bug, there's no turning back [emoji4]

Thank you!
Happy Birthday (a day late) my friend! That Borsalino is so special.
Thanks, Mike. It is, but I just need more of them.
I hope you had a good birthday. You should treat yourself to a new hat!

I did! Thanks, Brent.
Yes there is, Red. Wish I had more of them.

Thanks Stefan.

Love those Ghiaccios. Happy Birthday. Is this the big Three O?

Thanks Jim. If only it had Demon in the name.

Thanks all,
Michael

Found some more homburgs, eh? No wonder you look so happy! Another super homburg, Bowen.
L B Hats "Prima Original" possibly late 1930s early 1940s and a recent arrival. This is a Wool hat that was most likely made in Czechoslovakia.

Love it, Steve. The sweatband stitching looks a bit unusual; was it redone at some point maybe?
