Holy crap Alan. Where are you finding these beautiful old hats? If I didn't know better, I'd say you have more than just telescopes in the yard. Maybe a time machine tucked away there as well.

Well Eric...i guess if you can’t wear that straw masterpiece cap this one will do! Lol
I’m betting you had a hard time leaving the straw behind!
You are correct about the smell though. There is that bonus.

Thanks! I've been lucky to find some good stuff over the years of looking. Haven't been looking hard in recent years, but from the looks of the new hat threads, there seems to be plenty left.

    Thanks Perry!

Yet another fantastic Boater, Alan. Seems like no one can find them or wear them better than you. We can all dream though.

Another great "10 gallon" variety! That one looks like a good shade-maker for the hot summers.

Thanks! Unfortunately the jacket is a bit too small so it'll probably be moving on. For the color and collar I took a leap of faith and tried to size down but it's just too restrictive in the shoulders. Today's appearance is most likely a one-off.

For being just a monochromatic Marathon I'm finding myself drawn to this one more and more. I definitely am a fan of the gills, but I think it's the mid-ribbon that puts it over the top for me. The proportions as a whole just seem to really work.

No check needed for the jacket, but alas, if this is too small for me you'd probably be like the Hulk after that LW.

    Thanks WK.

Thanks again. This hat definitely has the best light grey of any hat in my collection.

Thanks Eric. It does have the coolest sweat of any of my hats, but unfortunately it is showing it's age and use. I took it pretty easy today. Love the color on that OR. Sweet hat.

Thanks Perry. My back is a little better this evening. Great Playboy you are wearing today. I still haven't run across one of those.

    Thanks all,
    Michael

Good morning, and happy National Chili Dog Day!

And a big hello to Joao - good to see you.

Today, a Mallory Ten "Commander" with interesting brim stitching.

It was a cool summer morning for a dog walk and dog park soiree.
