How many new jackets do you have coming (and how many potential ones)?

It is quite possible the leather of my Enfield is Firenze. It looks exactly like the picture in their website

Yeah HH, the out of the box grain + the lighter weight made me think Firenze. While I don’t dislike the hide as much as others here, to me it is vanson’s least appealing hide. Is it softer and already feels broken in when compared to your B?

Oh yes, this jacket is soft as noodle, it can't stand by itself.

Seems they sent the incorrect jacket. Sucks but at least when you get it in comp weight you will be very pleased. Tell them to throw in some conditioner or something for your trouble haha.

I agree that it doesn't sound like a comp weight jacket if it's soft and comfortable right out of the box. I was not impressed with the appearance of the leather on either of my Vanson comp weight jackets until I had put a lot of wear into them and they began to crease up and show some character, as your model B has done.
I agree with Ton, if you don't like it you should send it back for something you do like. The CHP by Vanson is a favorite of mine.

Enfield, it's like printed.

If that's the case, I don't know if I should stick with Vanson.

That does look... Wrong. I've never seen leather like that on a Vanson. Strange... And the jacket shouldn't be that lightweight. 5.6 lbs for an Enfield in a 42? No way. No freaking way.

The second pic, Model B, that's what the Comp. weight looks like. Exactly the kind of leather I associate with Vanson. The first pic really does remind me of Firenze leather - flat, plasticy and dull - though the jacket would've been tagged as such if it really was the lighter variant.

Now, that sounds like a expert!!
It is 5.4 lbs in size 40, compare with Model B in 6.4 lbs without liner.

Post some more close-up photos. I'm really curious about this... But it neither looks nor sounds right. I understand your concern and I definitely wouldn't be happy with this. It shouldn't be grayish either. Maybe they've changed the leather or something? But either way, I've never handled a Vanson jacket that was under 3 kg. Even the perforated Manx is over 5.5 lbs.

And yeah, that jacket was over 3 kg. And it's basically exactly the same jacket as Enfield except without the collar.

Guess I was confused with the photos earlier. The second pic of Hh121's first photos on the Enfield was labeled a B which I didn't see. That leather looks real close to that on my Enfield. The first pic is of a leather that doesn't look anything like my Vanson jacket. Plus I agree that the comp leather is not a light weight leather.

After own 3 Lost Worlds, 2 Aero, one Vanson, I believe Vanson is the best jacket you can have. ( Unbeatable price, most comfortable design, special tanned competition weight cowhide, universal streamliner for all jacket)

I’m starting to be of the same opinion as you.
I have or had Aeros, Eastman, Thedi, Schott, Real McCoy’s and somehow my favourite is my Vanson Gambler.

Based on everything seen and described, I would be shocked if this is not a jacket made of Firenze leather. I too am curious to read what Vanson says.

Just hit $250 on Buy it Now on a Bates Deluxe Highwayman. Almost fell out out my chair when I saw price. Like new condition and it looks it. Includes belt and mouton collar. Looks like one of the new ones on the updated website. Been looking for a Bates Highwayman, as always, fingers crossed.
