Now the weather is storming with Adige, our river, in flood.

A "lid" was a unit of measurement for reefer back in the day when it was still called reefer. Not sure where the term came from, but I was told it originally was the amount that would fit in the lid of a shoebox. As Amsterdam has had the reputation for progressive laws regarding cannabis for quite some time (like in that Cheech and Chong movie) , my mind just made the leap.
I haven't heard lid used like that before. One always learns something on the FL [emoji4]

A new whiskey-colored beaver felt Gannon, with antique copper ribbon. It took Michael a little while to find a dress-weight body to accommodate my request for a 3" brim and 5" as-creased crown, but he kept me in mind and finally came up with a body that would work. The hat was worth the wait! Great fit, very comfortable, and exactly as I specified. Needless to say, I am very pleased with this hat. I am glad there are custom makers around to take on projects like this, otherwise us punkin-headed folks would go wanting for hats!

Terrible photos as usual; please overlook the man under the hat!

Hope y'all have a great day!

Dang, that's spiffy. Looks sage green in the photos.

Thank you; it's interesting how the lighting, cameras, and monitors play into how a color appears. The first shots are in indirect light; the last shot with the boots is the truest-to-life on my computer, but is still a little more yellow than the actual hat. It really is a nice, medium brown color.

The photos are just fine Regan. Although the last one makes me think of "I'm melting, I'm melting".

In solidarity with Max, after taking possession of his first Dalton, today I wear it's cousin, the "Waverly." Both have similar color combos.

Nice, Jim! I see what you nean about the colors.

I wonder what The Waverly refers to. Wasn't it a famous restaurant or hotel in New York, or some other landmark? I heard of it in the lyrics of "Frank Mills" a song I love in "Hair", and I've wondered what it is.
"I met a boy called Frank Mills, on September twelfth right here, in front of the Waverly"...

Wow Bob! That is impressive. The insides of this one are as pretty as the outside felt.

The liner embroidery is what draws me to this Dalton. The colors are so bright and new looking.

Great dimensions on this Gannon. It really needs to be in the dedicated thread for everyone to try and copy. Great hat Regan!

I really love the ribbon on this Twenty Max. Perfect match to that felt color.

Hey all!
This Supernatural Panama would be great on Hallowe'en, but I just can't wait. Besides, might not be straw weather then.
