Wonderful hat parade today, guys.

And sunrises and sunsets.

Stetson Imperial Sportsman today, Suede Finish. This hat has a great hand and is indeed suede-like.

I guess that last one wasn't quite as focused as I thought. Sorry, should have worn my glasses!

A super look, and a fine hat.

Thats amazing you still have it. Pretty cool family mementos. They are great coats, very heavy in Melton wool. Hard to travel with due to bulk. But they sure look cool on and collar up. ;)
I wish I still fit into this one.

A lot of chatter about this one, today. Insightful and helpful. I'm thankful for that. I want to be surprised at how little info there is on Stetson Canada but I'm not. N American hat history is so fragmented. I think, with the history of Stetson in Canada it's at least easier to narrow down the period when Stetson Canada would have produced such a hat. The sweat info Bowen came up with is something I have not read. Stetson's were only produced in the one factory in Canada as far as I know.

Greg: between this one and your wide ribbon Nutria you have quite a pair. This one is like the classy twin brother. One for every occasion.
Super hats both.

Digging that one with the brim up, Cuz. Either way, though, it's a total class act.

I'm a sucker for those buff/taupe colors Daniele, and that one looks great on you.

First day of "real" fall

Produzione Albertini 1817 - Intra - Italia. "Argo" is the name of the hat
View attachment 188517
The felt is soft and with an amount of wool inside, the color is "Nocciola". This is one of the oldest hats I have in my collection from the "lake hatters"

Albertini was the first hats producer in Italy to use machinery, it merged in Panizza probably before the WWII even if there are many hats producers on the Lago Maggiore that went into the Panizza arms during the years

Small note for connoisseurs of English hats: look for the Albertini heirs in Luton, it's an interesting story

I wish you a good day and I want to tell you that I do not comment on the many magnificent hats that appear here every day, I have linguistic difficulties and I often know very little about American headwear in order to express opinions.

Very nice western rancher look, top to bottom, Michael. I'll give you my vote for best dressed of the week this week.

Thanks Doug

That's a great looking Royal Stetson. Nice vintage piece.

Thanks Steve. It's a nice suit with a couple of issues I need to work on. I think it's been mushroom hunting with me before, but I lazed out on the hunt today and went shopping instead.
Came home with this ratty shearling jacket, which required a hat change.

So this Stagecoach gets a little time on the head.

And the third pair of khaki pants, this time paired with a wool officers regulation shirt.

Have a good evening,

Good move to go shopping instead of mushroom hunting, Michael. Great jacket, super look!
