Happy National Hat Day friends, both hatted and non. For my final appointment with my hand surgeon today I brought out the big guns! This is the finest level of quality in a Italian Borsalino Lobbia (homburg) in the color, bismutto from the mid-1950s. "Qualita Extra Superiore", and it sure is. Going out in public on "my holiday" required a real statement. BTW, my hand doctor released me, all good! Now to exercise that left over limp out of my "slap foot!"

Excellent news, Mike. Now you can go out and break a leg!
Big guns?
An artillery battery, if you ask me.

Good thing you saved those coffin box hats from oblivion, Joe. And you do enjoy your stingies. Nice catch.

I couldn’t resist giving my new Walden a quick try on. Two sizes too small, but who cares! @Joao Encarnado eat your heart out! ;)

That hat has enough brim for three of my hats! As close to a sombrero as you're likely to get!

Amen, though I can never name an all time favorite because I have too many favorites (I know, butchery of terms). Floyd stayed as powerful and relevant, even with commercial success, and even a more commercial sound, through the years. Maybe even more relevant! Certainly more powerful.
I saw them live twice; In The Flesh, "Animals'" tour, and The Wall tour.
Mr. Screen was a major part of both tours. A concert experience like no other!
Meddle is probably my favoritish album, because it seems like the transition between what was and was what was yet to be.
"I'll climb that hill in my own way..."

Couldn't have said it better. I saw them live for Animals and The Wall, and then Post-Waters for Momentary Lapse of Reason. Meddle is a great one, I tend to like the older stuff better. Check out Obscured by Clouds if you haven’t. A leaser known album, as it was originally made for a movie soundtrack, but one of my favorites. Also, Gilmour Live in Gdansk is simply the best live performance I have ever heard. He plays lots of old stuff, and Echoes is just incredible with Rick Wright.

Started out the day with a little early morning snow shoveling under this Turkish made shearling

After that was done I switched over to the new Portis.

Have a good day,

Love the look of the Portis, Michael. I do think the front brim needs a bit of work still though; looks like it has been resting on it a bit too long.

The hat brightens the day.

That hat can show it's face often. Lovely hat.

You diffidently have one of the most varied styled hat collections on the thread sir. Well worn!

Well done! I appreciate how you wear so many different felt hues and styles. Way to set an example.

That is truly a great hat felt. Just stunning sir.

Joe, just plain WOW! WOW!

That is a magnificent pic of both of you in a glorious backyard.

best, Eric -
Love the color on this winter morning in Minnesota Perry. The hat pairs well with your glorious shirt and tie.

Sharp outside dudes today Michael.

Vintage Stetson Sovereign Twenty hat adventures today.

Snow blowing walkways and driveways was the task for my green hat this morning. Working hard has the fine snow particles lightly icing on the crown and brim. Inside it warms u and the particles brush off easily without leaving a mark. The vintage hats are durable for my adventures.

Best, Eric -
Thanks, Eric. I love how you put your hats to work and take good care of them afterwards. Some of us may have a heartattack seeing such a beautiful Stetson Sovereign covered in ice and snow, but you show us just how resilient they are.

We live in an ethnically diverse population with a large Asian %. There are multitudes of really bad translations to English once read would give any English speaker great pause. Your 'Golden Stream' could well be one of them. A brand new restaurant opened up with the name..."The Captain's Boil".....my wife's response was..."don't you dare take me there!"

I just looked them up. Located in Fishers, IN. I don't think it's a mis-translation.
