This morning's dog soirre was taken under a Stetson Flagship. Air Force blue for a Flagship is, IMO, an appropriate felt hue.

I changed so I was sport'n an VS Artlite silvermist beaver fedora for my after walk cool down. Artlite (lightweight beaver felt) is a glorious lightweight felt.

This hat took inspiration from the Stetson Weston.

The Stetson Weston was a Whippet with a different brim edge treatment. To my eye a very classy looking fedora. The composition of ribbon size, hat dimensions and shape really appealed to my eye. It was a $15.oo hat compared to the $10.00 Whippet. Quite a deal, I think. As perhaps others, I have been searching for a vintage version of this hat since becoming aware of the model.

Eric: your blue Flagship is the model epitome.

As always thanks for the major contributions.

Resistol with the ubiquitous "kitten finish" tag. View attachment 410218
Whenever I see the "Kitten Finish" stamp on a hat I always picture a bunch of kittens clutching sandpaper in their little paws, furiously sanding away at felt. Makes sense, as kittens do spend a lot of time practicing their pouncing skills. :)
Hat looks good too, btw!

Kittens pouncing.... that is precisely why I come back here time after time. Those little paws kneading away for some mid-sized hatter. Little guys are so diligent. It's the hats that made the west. And Britain. My hat's off to 'em. Dolly loves hats made of rabbit, like Akubras! G'day mate

Bowen; Thanks for the hat compliment. Great idea on the blue family pic. Our snow is finally melting and the opportunity to showcase some outside pics of a blue family is coming.

Max; Thanks sir. That is a big compliment coming from an owner of one of the premier hat collections in North and South America.

Cheers to all, Eric -

I bumped "The Pinup Thread". Let's see those crush-worthy dolls.

Don't know what I like the most, Randall. The high crown OR, your wonderful multicoloured shirt, or your early season sun-tan.

Good to see you, buddy.
Thanks, Steve!
I somehow missed this kind comment.
The shirt is new along with 3 others.
Also got a pair of Duluth BallRoom jeans that I highly recommend to anyone to try if they haven’t yet.
Very comfy and well built. Look good, too.
Though adding up all spent on clothes would’ve made for a sweet vintage fedora...
The tan stops at all shirt openings.
