What Hat Are You Wearing Today ?

Today I wore one of my first felt hats purchased in 2020: a vintage homburg in a dark plum grey, originally sold by Marshall Field and Co. Haven't found any info about the actual hat manufacturer; I assumed Marshall Field was just the stockist. Anyone recognise the crest on the liner?

Everybody's shown some truly outstanding specimens in the parade of hats this week. Hope I can compete. The Sunday display again.

The Borsalino Landasti Misto Salvia does it for me. Great color, but is it not to green for your taste? :)

As always, a ranking in order of preferences.
The Borsalino Misto Salvia is a marvel.
The Mossant pure elegance and I'm curious to see the Gracia Velor in full, considering that I've been hanging around velour for a while

Yesterday evenings walkabout was under the brim of a Stetson Vogue.

A quick errand under the brim of a Gannon Executive (moss green with gills).

Home I did a couple yard chores under the brim of a Gannon Wanderer (whiskey felt with charcoal trimmings).

Thanks, Marcel. Never let it be said that I discriminate green hats!

Grazie, Daniele. I'll see if I can do a better job displaying the Garcia in full in the sun.

I like em all!

Thanks, Randall. That Garcia really came back from the dead. Being a master reanimator yourself it's not a surprise that one should appeal to you; it's the recognition!

What a week!
Thanks, David. The sun does help a lot to show them at their best.

Homburgs; always a good sign! Lovely hat, Don.

Daylight savings time - bah humbug. Morning walkabout under the brim of a very early Playboy.

Thanks, Mark. It is a nice one indeed. Has to be for me to overcome my fobia for green hats!

The Panizza Oro Malta, mind you The Rothschild appeals, just for the kudos of the name.
linen-teal-1_orig.jpg
That Panizza would compliment this shirt a treat. Chester Cordite don't do this colour with contrasting white collar and cuffs, so Tina is stepping up to the plate and making one for me. We have been fabric shopping this morning,
Maroon Blazer007.jpg
At the lady's request I wore the bespoke hat, as always the baggy trousers that the lady made got noticed as much as the hat.

Thank you, Robert. Glad to see you're experiencing what looks like an early spring there.

A couple Adam's Pacesetter (Executive Quality with Aqua shield) hats have been my morning fedoras.

A buckskin hued fedora. The under brim pic accurately shows the felt hue.

Sharp hat, Eric. Lookin good!

No doubt Adam makes great looking hats. “First Name In Hats” is an apt slogan, far as I’m concerned. For the era an economic choice, but plenty of quality to be had and they’re styling was excellent!

Birthday celebrations for me this weekend. My turn to get some oni-denim jeans.

I celebrated by watching Stop Making Sense on the big screen. I had to go two prefectures over. There were 10 people in the theatre. Nine of them sat quietly and watched. Meanwhile, I was dancing away in the aisle like a maniac. So much fun! My Hornskov Black Cherry Emissary kept my head happy.

Etsuko wore a Maxim in a similar colour.
