not as much made as modified: an original U.S. Navy Men's enlisted dress blues jumper - not vintage - modified into an open jacket - with original large U.S. Navy pea coat buttons and vintage liberty cuffs added.

Kamikat that top looks stunning on you. Hands down has to be my favorite of all the gorgeous things you make.

Kami that is so cute. Ive been looking for a drape/cowl neck like that for a long time (still looking).

Thanks to Idledame for the fabric. The thing is, the fabric has a blemish on the bias cut pieces. See the on the right the small yellow yellow /white/small yellow yellow /white? See how they double half way up then the pattern resets itself? Yeah, that was the *first* piece I cut, and I didnt notice that blemish until I tried to match up the plaid for the other side. :eusa_doh: Thats was only place in the entire remnant that had that oops. Crappers.

Its been hemmed about 2" I talk about the construction on ye olde blog.

Aw well.

Lady Day, I wouldn't have noticed if you hadn't pointed it out, and even then it took me a few seconds of starring at the photo to see it. No one is going to look that close when you have it on! It looks great. :eusa_clap

I think it gives it character!! And it really took me a while to notice it, so unless you tell someone I doubt anyone sees it...

I think anytime a garment plays with bias stripes or plaids it's fantastic! I agree with the other ladies, I didn't see the flub until after I read about it.
