What Hat Are You Wearing Today ?

That's a great Borsalino nutria, Alan. Fantastic shade of grey with contrasting black mid wide ribbon. The brim shape just adds to its desirability. Nice.

Thank you. It is one of my favorite hats to wear. It feels "natural" which makes it a very easy hat to get a good selfie. If you know what I mean... ;^)

Could be I'm with Donna on this one, Alan. This might have everyone asking if you've picked up painting:)

Haha... I am a painter of sorts in my day job. My night job too. When I was in art school I wore a beret almost every day, an affectation that Donna told me some time later was the subject of much eye rolling from my classmates. I have always enjoyed wearing a beret and I tend to get more nice comments in the street than for any other hat. This one might renew the eye rolls, though...

Alan, keep wearing those berets. They suit you and you wear them with style. No rolling eyes here, just admiration that you own them. That's the secret with headwear, as you obviously show.

C. G. Wilke "Flamand" possibly late 1920s.

That's a beauty, Steve. The casual care to the over welt looks like a Stetson I have from a similar era. It was uneven to the point that I thought it might have been done in later years. But likely just the signature of hand work.
Alan, Thank you! I have some other hats from about the same time period with similar over welts. Maybe we can do a comparison? Super looking Borsalino "Nutria" "Feather Weight" from you today!

Thank you, Steve. England vs Italy was a draw this time.
In hats, as in soccer, I prefer Italy every time.

'Sides, I still haven't forgiven English soccer for its @*)%/ hooligans.

Edit: hats, soccer, art, food, fashion, opera, historical monuments, and even the weather....
