Habig Berlin store at Friedrichstrasse 82 which didn't survive WWII and is NOS condition. This has to be one of my best finds. I found this Homburg back in 2019.

The seller of this Homburg is the wife of Arnulf Meifert the original drummer of the progressive Krautrock band Faust. They live in a castle in Bavaria that belonged to her family. "Dr. M" was Arnulf Meifert's father who was a well known Berlin "bon vivant" of the 1920s and 1930s.

Habig Hüte, Berlin at Night, Friedrichstrasse-Lindenpassage (1928). P. & C. Habig Berlin store at Friedrichstrasse 82. front and center. I found this postcard back in 2012.

I’m always so intrigued by your Mode Edge with bound brim. I wonder if it was special ordered that way by a customer who wanted a Mode Edge “because it’s the best” but still wanted decorative binding. Or if it was offered that way at some point. Beautiful hat! And of course there is The Brock!
