Maybe I'm slow, but I'm still trying to figure out what Kevin Popejoy
meant by
"one of those belly shirts with kind of a muffin top thing going."
Uh... what's a muffin top?
I can thank the heavy rains here in So.Cal in February '05.
I didn't have a umbrella, but I came across an old IJ fedora that I bought about 10 years ago off the Queen Mary.
I got some (unexpectedly) nice comments on it and have ended up buying about 6 more hats.
My current favorite...
Christina Ricci is up there on my list too!
But Jennifer Connelly does it for me the most. :eusa_clap
Uh, before she went on a diet and lost most of her curves...
It helps that she's been in a couple of movies set in the '30s and '40s too!
:cheers1:
For what it's worth, that's a good job of cloning WildRoot there, Murph; irregardless of the pant height..
Now, if you could just clone his car for me and have it delivered to my place, I'd be much appreciative..
:clap
Chevy HHR
IMHO, the new Chevy HHR builds on the retro look of the PT Cruiser.
Though it won't be out until Q4 2005...
Actually it reminds me of the old bread/donuts truck that used to drive around my old Long Beach neighborhood...
Chevy HHR
just my $00.02...
I've got that game....
After a bad day at work, it's fun to jump in one of the car and just crash into other cars or run over people.
Uhh..no... I don't have any issues at work, why do you ask?
I found this hat shaper site when looking for those hat sizer things.....

Haven't ordered one yet, so I can't comment of their effectiveness..

I find if I go out wearing a hat to grab a bite to eat after work :hamburger  Two things can occur:
1) If I encounter any police, they nod/smile and say "hey". (which, given the current environment down here in the L.A. harbor is rather rare.)
2) The homeless in the parking lot...
Check this site out and look at the 'Sleuth' model.. is it like that?

"We don't have a lot of time on this earth!
We weren't meant to spend it this way.
Human beings were not meant to sit in little cubicles staring at computer screens all day...
filling out useless forms... and listening to eight different bosses drone on about mission statements."...
Speaking of Bogart's films... I received my Humphrey Bogart Collection DVD set a few days again and finally sat down to watch 'The Maltese Falcon' for the first time last night... it was great... tonight is Casablanca.... :fedora:
ah...these tips on vintage hats and hats for sale are just two of the reasons I'm glad I'm on this list..
Dumb question...how -should- one clean a sweatband? And when? [huh]
It's still a hellava great movie...and Warner Bros. didn't even plan for it to the stand out film that it became upon release; .they were making 50 films a year and this was just one of them. The script was being re-written and tweaked every day...that musta been nerve-wracking on all the...
Humphrey Bogart never says “Play it again, Sam in Casablanca.
The “Play it again, Sam line actually comes from the Marx Brothers’ movie A Night in Casablanca.
I'll even add that Blake is even a more sympathetic guy than MJ...
But I just saw his after-verdict talk with the media....whoa..he's one bizarre guy...
How come all the really odd ones are in So. Cal??
(Wait! Don't flame me! - I live there too - I can say that!)
Ohhhh.... I just choked on my coffee, laughing way too hard reading Matt's 'Michael Jackson's nose' comment...
Does that meant the hat looks a little different every time it was out in public?
